Camray II oil boiler not igniting

I ran out of oil last week and turned my heating to off from the digital control.

Today my old has been delivered and I went to switch it on with the digital control and the orange light (labelled mains) comes on. The red light (labelled limit) doesn't come on. But it is not igniting. I turned the temperature up 0n the boiler (the only dial on the thing) and nothing is happening.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong or what I can do?

Sounds like boiler has airlocked due to running out of oil. Close to boiler you should find a aluminium bottle like contrapion (Filter) on top of this you will see a screw, open this slighty to allow air out, once air has gone, oil will drip from screw area, once you have this, re-tighten screw, then try again to fire up boiler, should be fine now?

Just been through this as an oil boiler novice, so this is more of a Memo to self as the rest of the interweb doesn't seem to have any instructions.

The Camray II has a long flat cover on the front, which opens from right to left (hinges on the left).

Prise open the cover using your fingers from the bottom right of the cover upwards to reveal the insides of the boiler.

Towards the lower half of the boiler will be 3-4 small squarish modules about the size of the palm of your hand. One of them will be lit bright red/orange in colour, with a small round button in the middle of it.

Press the button to coax the boiler into lighting your new supply of oil.

Listen to it fire, then feel warm and tingly. If you feel too warm too quickly, you've probably set yourself on fire and should seek medical attention.
