There is an application called Viber that allows you to call other iphones worldwide including abroad for FREE if using WIFI and over 3G using your data plan. As most have unlimited data plans ( although a FUP ) this is still moneysaving

Viber is an iPhone application (Android and Blackberry versions coming soon!) that lets you make free phone calls to other iPhone users that have Viber installed. When you use Viber, your phone calls to any other Viber user are free, and the sound quality is much better than a regular call. You can call any Viber user, anywhere in the world, for free. All Viber features are 100% FREE and do not require any additional "in application" purchase.

Can I call people that do not have Viber?

Yes. If the person you're calling doesn't have Viber, the call will be placed using your regular phone - but don't forget to invite your friends to Viber so your next call is free .

Can I use Viber on an iPad or an iPod Touch?

Viber was primarily developed for iPhones, so for the best experience, an iPhone with iOS 4 is recommended. While Viber is known to work on iPod Touch and iPads, they are not officially supported.

Can I use Viber when roaming internationally?

Yes, it doesn't matter where you or your friends are, be it on the same network or in a totally different country.
You can talk for as much as you want, for free. Just make sure your friends have Viber too, and check your data plans and roaming rates.

Will Viber help reduce my phone bill?

How do I import my contacts to Viber?

You don't. Viber uses your iPhone's address book and it's always synced. Viber also highlights friends in your iPhone's address book that have Viber. That way you know who you can call for free!

Can I invite my friends to Viber?

Yes, and you should. The more friends you have with Viber installed, the more of your calls are free.

How long does it take to register?

You don't have to register! You know your phone number, and so do your friends, so why bother with yet another username and password? Viber uses your phone number as your "identity" and lets you make free Viber phone calls to any of your friends that have Viber - using THEIR phone number.

Can I install Viber on my Android phone?
