Not looking forward to it at all, the original appointment was bad enough :(

Sorry to hear that ceejaydee, was that an abnormal result from a smear test. I had one of those on Thur. Mind you I am scheduled for an ovarian cyst/ovary/fallopian tube removal on thur so I will get that out of the way first before I worry about the abnormal result. Good luck x
Luckily my 11 yr old daughter knows how to check off the Avon orders against the invoices so she is going to deliver my C5 order bless her :A

  • My other half thought to save my legs today and we went out in the car, bloody typical that only 2 of the orders got delivered though! so means more trips out :(

    you are too funny.

Thanks - better than being called a 'cheapskate' though! :) Can't help it, am naturally frugal, always have been. (But every now and again I surprise my OH by being really extravagant - doesn't happen often but keeps him on his toes..... ;))

Now if your feeling brave..........(this gets bit more complicated) if you have to do the additional and she is happy to wait until your next delivery then id wait to submit the additional to a day or so before submitting your c5 and check all your c5 orders against a c3 book to do extra creative ordering... may free up enough "extra" commission to cover the additional order cost ;);)Like if anyone else orders a foundation... or brow glimmersticks... they were cheaper in c3 than both c4 and c5:)

I've only just clicked onto that i.e. ordering from three customer books by using the additional order route.... and very useful it can be sometimes too! :T Actually, have only done it once so far (a friend was having a problem with Avon's recharges and she didn't have time to sort it all before the deadline to input her order). Anyway, turned into a win/win situation for us both.... by backordering in C4 it meant I clicked into the lower foundation charges in C3 and could even order :o demo products knowing I had orders in C5 ;) )

My brain needs a rest now but think it is something I may do more often in future.

Can i still do this then? think thats what i might do... cos if i order it with my next order i'll have to get it for the £10.50 which would mean i would be paying more thsn I would for the product than if I order as as additional.

As ever, Avon is a learning curve.... I didn't know until faced with (someone else's) problem but am always up for a challenge. :D Anyway, turns out you can actually place additional orders right up to the due date of your next order. Hmmm.... definitely something worth knowing. :T

  • Sorry, A (+ MrsT), didn't have time to thank you for taking the time to explain re. BG's and moderators on MSE so a big 'thank you' (hopefully I've got a handle on it now)

I used to help administer a forum (only a small but very useful one for ex-Pats) and we were 'admin' or 'moderators' but actually apart from mods not having access to members' personal details our roles tended to overlap. Admin had loads of disagreements behind the scenes - prob. more than our members in open forum as we had a strict no-abuse policy and clamped down very quickly on anyone being 'not nice'. Why people like to make others feel uncomfortable is an anethema to me. The hardest thing to determine, at least in my view, was whether one person 'hounding/targetting' another was classified as abuse or not. Doesn't really matter whether they are doing it for 'so called fun' or because there's some sort of personal grudge involved. The conclusion we eventually came to was that 'hounding' was very much classed as abuse and we banned members for doing it.

Well done, MSE, this is the first forum I've come across where I feel as comfortable as I did on my 'other one'. Long may it continue! :T

PS: Sorry for diverting the thread :o and know am a stickler but my signature will be staying as is for a little longer... :(

MrsGSR - go into "my orders" and then "order tracking" part of your avon account so you can see a list of your submitted orders..... 3rd column is called "order number" and for your last order there will be the order number in this column in pink - click on it... new page will load this will show the order you actually submitted to avon..... look through this and check whether you actually ordered the foundation for her ... if so contact avon and tell them it was missing from your box and invoice but you know you ordered it because you just checked its showing on your order on order tracking screen ...... demand they send it as an IMMEDIATE REPLACEMENT and is put through at the £4 price......

IF it isnt on your order unfortunetly you must of missed ordering it... your best bet would be to do the additional c4 order and get it at £4 plus the £2.50 postage by back ordering from c3 instead.

Now if your feeling brave..........(this gets bit more complicated) if you have to do the additional and she is happy to wait until your next delivery then id wait to submit the additional to a day or so before submitting your c5 and check all your c5 orders against a c3 book to do extra creative ordering... may free up enough "extra" commission to cover the additional order cost ;);)Like if anyone else orders a foundation... or brow glimmersticks... they were cheaper in c3 than both c4 and c5

AND then to make it even more complicated (:rotfl:) if you manage to get over HOV on c5 orders alone........ you can put some your c4 backorders if you have any onto your C4 additional order to try and hit the MOV on the additional - which i think was lower in c4 for most people but dont quote me on that?? meaning you could get some commission too.... but thats only if you know you'll still hit HOV on c5 without them:)

Thanks. I have checked my order and I didn't order it. Tried to back order BUT it comes up as £10.50! so will have to give her a ring and ask if she still wants it. Feel really bad cos that would have been a big saving for her and she is a keen customer too so I don't want to pee her off before I have even started!

Fingers crossed everything turns out OK for you. No personal experience in that dept. (although have had 'quite a bit' in others....) but the last time I had a smear I was told that they were actually checking for 'pre-cancerous' cells i.e. a don't mistake your abnormal smear level 2 for a tumour/cancer level 2 - they're DEFFO NOT THE SAME.

As before, think of it as being one of the lucky ones.... you're now in the system and will get all the preventative care you need.

Take a deep breath and (yes, it was me that mentioned the dentist) just focus on some point when all the indignant poses are over! ;) (Least you're going for your checks so well done you! :T)
