Cheers Sue still toying with the idea, had to raise one or two in 4 years here but this one im unsure about :S

If i do the list i can think of is:

    - Short Notice
    - No Business need to justify change (Bit Sketchy but worth a try)
    - Alternative Solution available but denied without just
    - No justification to swap my position in rota from current position
    - Previously approved for another colleague
    - Supervisor aware of intentions/plans for next year and moves me to working now most of them

All i can think of off the top of my head but dont know if i could push it to grievance, have offered alternatives but as mentioned no luck. Previous grievences were fairly straight forward tbh both drug related which posed risk to others aswell as myself getting injured (another story)
Ah, that puts something to bed. Too many people are encouraging you avoid raising a grievance and misunderstanding the purpose for my liking. No doubt there are a few vindictive employers out there. But it is not an offensive thing to raise a grievance. Any sane employer knows that it is better to have a grievance raised than let it fester - and that raising a grievance is a right which should have no comeback for the employee. Your employer seems to be in that mould.

I think your list is actually a good one.

Best bet is to speak to HR if management/supervisor not listening to alternatives. Suggest to HR that you feel you will have to go down the grievance route if your request continues to be ignored without reasonable explanation.

The first step of most employee/employer dispute resolution is the informal stage - best for everyone - and hopefully best outcomes for everyone. Now you've tried the first informal route - which is speaking to your supervisor - I'd now go to HR and do the same (or do it with a union rep if you have one), except giving the inference that you will go further and make it formal if you are still ignored.

None whatsoever.....these "issues" were not anything to do with current supervisor.

Other grievences were only raised to ensure nobody did any more harm to themselves or others.
    Work in progress.
