Several sales on ebay tonight which made about £40 and I think that should just take me under £30k but I wont update just yet, I need the cheque for charges refund that will make a big difference and i need to take my change pot to the bank.
All statements are due this week so looking forward to see how much i have reduced the interest, also hoping my new Halifax card arrives with a big enough limit to move the rest of HSBC onto it at 0% That would save me over £100 a month.
Its been a bit of a spend day today treated myself to some boots in the sale and bought DS a few bits for his trip next week.
There is a possibility of some OT at work so im going to follow that up tomorrow as could be an extra £250 a month after tax and we could start next week.MARCH 2016 DEBT £25750/ £25035

Hey HWG, well done in all the savings, and glad to hear you had a good night out. It does help to have a bit of respite now and again.
I have started transferring left over cash from my bank account to my savings account, doing the rounding down thing, and already its starting to help! So thanks for that tip.
Have a good day

Hi Dolly
I love the little bits I transfer on Fridays, its really starting to add up Im up to £29.09 which doesnt seem much but IF we needed petrol or food at month end that could make all the difference.
I have also started mentally reducing my OD every month so on my spreadsheet I set it so I have £50 less a month and if all goes to plan I will have reduced the OD by £200 this month again its another safety net.
These pennies soon add upMARCH 2016 DEBT £25750/ £25035

Thanks C
I have hopefully sorted the OT and it should start this weekend Im thinking it will be 6 hours on a weekend and if I start early in the morning it shouldnt affect the rest of the family too much. I hope it will give me an extra £250 a month and could go on for 2-3 months :T
I have transferred some money form paypal today so that should be an overpayment this week.
I have also sold 2 books on amazon but both payments are pending this could be another £17. That £29K is soooooo close I can taste it :rotfl:MARCH 2016 DEBT £25750/ £25035

It is lovely having a small but existent safety net, I must say, never been in this position before, so i find it very comforting.
Its a great tip too, as I really don't miss it and so simple to do as my online account allows me to transfer any amount no matter how small.
I think for the first time ever if my calculations are correct I will be in credit on my account at the end of the month! If this turns out to be true will transfer it over and add to one of my debt payments. Things must be on the up!!

HWG, i'm finding your diary a great source of inspiration, I think I will begin to try and reduce our o/d by £50 a month too. I know what you mean about 'mentally' as I know the o/d is £x so I say we have £x left til we reach the limit but as my Dad would say its a limit not a target! so if I reduce £x by £50 a month that would give us a little breathing space 'just in case'.0

you are doing fantastically and great news on OT0

Hey HWG, great achievement if you can reach the 29k and glad to hear that the OT has come up trumps.
Well done you, you are so inspiring, never known anyone so dedicated to anything!
