Agree with the above - wasn't saying that just because the cash was in the dump bin, or not, that it proved or disproved the claim. Just the fact that it would lend credence to the query. The journals usually record all the transactions - even the insertion of a card and the pressing of the cancel button, a balance request, or failed PIN attempts, so it will show clearly the amount requested. The boxes inside should be counted regularly and balanced by whoever has control of the ATM. It might be the shop staff if it's inside a store, or it might be the BS or bank itself if located at a branch. Regardless, I wouldn't take it lying down - at the end of the day, would you settle for the fob off if it had short changed £100 and they came away with this excuse? Probably not.0
