Have you taken a look at:

I placed my last order with Amazon on the 14th, with estimated delivery of the 20th. It also came from Scotland which I found unnerving given the circumstances, particularly when it took 5 days to get from Gourock to the Scottish dist. centre. (I am not good at Geography and I don't know where the dist. cente is, but that didn't sound good)
I did it all wrong TBH... opted for free (slow) delivery and for everything to be sent together, and I was lucky that it arrived on 24th Dec.My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
the package wasn't even passed to RM that's how they could offer a refund straight away. it was just sitting there waiting for Santa's little elves.
Just a courtesy e-mail saying "oops, sorry this ain't gonna happen"
is that too much to ask? hell even on the 23rd or 24th would have been better than nothing.

I wouldn't put too much faith in RM Tracking. I've had exactly the same answer to my tracking query for an item I ordered from from a sports retailer on 16tgh December. I'm as certain as I can be that it's RM's error as the retailer is pretty good. You might be venting at Amazon when RM are the real culprits.
I have the unfortunate honour of living in an area where the RM sorting office has over 100 000 items of backlogged mail due to them having introduced an "improved" delivery system a few weeks before the bad weather arrived. They're having to bus in teams from all over Scotland to catch up.0
