Accidentally paid two months Sky bill. Can I get advice?

So I have been having some trouble with my Sky bills.
First I tried Direct Debit, they said my details didn't work when they worked everywhere else.
Secondly I tried Credit/Debit card but they didn't take the money.
So I have been paying by One Off Payments.
Yesterday I noticed once again that Sky had not taken the money from my account so I went to One Off Payment. I went through typing my details in but when I got to a certain page, the computer wouldn't show me it. I went into My Account in Sky and it still said my Sky Account was overdue. So I went through it again only for the same thing to happen.
Later that night I checked my bank account only to see that £110 had been taken out instead of £55. I really need that other £55 and it wasn't my intention to pay them double. Could I get this back?
Secondly I need to ask, how comes, even if I am in a contract, I cannot cancel the contract if I am not happy with the service I receive?

Call them and ask them to refund you?Secondly I need to ask, how comes, even if I am in a contract, I cannot cancel the contract if I am not happy with the service I receive?
If you are locked in a contract, you cannot break it without paying for the number of months left. If you are unhappy with their service, have you not lodged some form of complaint?Best Regards

You can ask them to refund you, but it is more likely that they will just leave it as a credit for your next bill.
You can cancel the contract if they are in breach. In what way are you not happy?Gone ... or have I?0 -
I doubt you going to see that money back any time soon, even if Sky do refund you, by the time they do you'll be ready for next month's bill.
What is wrong with the service they're providing?0 -

I have no home phone and cannot get credit for my mobile phone because Sky have the money. I contact them on the computer.
I have complained quite a bit about Sky to them.0 -

I am not happy about how a tiny bit of rain will make me lose my signal and I mean a tiny bit of rain.
I am not happy about the signal in my room. The television flickers non stop.
When I contact them asking for assistance, I get a scripted answer which most of the time does not answer my question at all.
I am not happy with the way my money has been handled. Direct Debits I have tried to set up with them on the phone, online. They don't seem to do anything.
If they can take money out of my account so fast, how can they not put it back in again just as quick?0 -

The only thing that is even near a breach of contract is your loss of signal. Have you had an engineer come out to have a look at the problem?Gone ... or have I?0 -

Sounds like a poor signal - this could be because the dish is not aligned properly, poor connection or there's something in it's way - Did Sky install it? if so get them to send an engineer out to fix it. I've installed mine myself and only heavy snowfall causes break-up0 -

It wasn't a Sky engineer. This was a local man who installed my dish.0
