  • My husband and our 1 year old went to Riviere Sands for the 1st week of September - its VERY close to St Ives (in fact it overlooks it), I paid £60 at time of booking then a few months later got a letter from Haven asking for another £120 this included bed linen, entertainment passes, pool entry etc etc, when I explained we would not be going out in the evening due to 1 year old, we could bring our own bed linen but I did want to upgrade from basic to deluxe we only paid another £40 in total
THe weather was amazing - we got lucky with a week of 22-25 degrees, caravan modern and very clean
    only pne problem

FREEZING at night - no heaters in the bedrooms, so glad we brought our own duvets as there were duvets there too but seruously when I book again this week I will be paying extra for the Prestige caravans that have heaters in the bedrooms!

We stayed at Hagerston Castle last year for four days and it was really good.

I was a bit worried about it being filthy before I arrived, but I couldn't fault it. The caravan was very clean, nice fresh linen waiting for us, and we took our Retriever with us. There wasn't a speck of dog hair from the previous residents, so if it was one of their regular vans that they put dog owners into, then it was spotless.

The only thing we didn't like was the entertainment area - full of noise and crowds, but we used to just go out in the evening and never went near that area very often. The site itself was lovely and clean and there was lots of things to do like cycling, horse riding, golf etc.

caravan was clean, nothing great but ideal for a short break as we were out most of the time, friendly atmosphere fun for kids :)

Sorry if this is a stupid question- do you actually need the tokens or do you just enter the codes from the tokens on the website?

Also does anyone know what time booking usually goes live?

So I don't need to rush out to buy todays paper- I can just copy the token codes from here (when someone posts them) and bash away as soon as it goes live Sat?

I have been to many Havens over the years and all of them more than once...
Devon Cliffs...Massive maybe better for the older kids but it has its own beach and excellent facilities
Rockley Park (my fav) great facilities and entertainment also with its own beach (well boat launching/fishing and crabbing beach)
Seaview...Small park and you can use the sister park Weymouth bay! you can cut through another park (waterside) to get down to bowleaze cove entertainment not all that
Combe haven....Well the entertainment there is my favourite and the facilities is quiet small and well I'd say its a different class of people ;) and I dont like Hastings beach.
Kiln Park...Gorgeous beach in Tenby with its own cut through shame about the Welsh weather though had 2 weeks in August and got sun for 1 day rain for 13! the park is dated but a nice spot if you are more interested in getting around Wales and the nice beaches.

Hth in decisions on which park you pick :)

also...I didnt get my paper today :/ do you know if the Daily mail print bonus tokens like the sun ones?
