  • Hey

When I phoned I was told that I would be able to download everything from the confirmation email as of the 17th.
Also told that they would be sending out confirmation through the post starting the 17th. Think this maybe the last booking day.

    hth

eta - going to france, not sure if it is different for uk, but had to select and pay for all my extras at time of booking.

    looking for some advice,

my confirmation came through today, I was aware that there would be a service charge of £6.95 for the caravan, on the website it says

This covers pre-arrival cleaning and preparation of your holiday and includes gas and electricity. Your park will charge you direct for this and it is payable after you receive your holiday confirmation.

but on the confirmation letter there is another £89 of charges.
£14 for linen + beds made up for arrival and a £20 power charge. ~(plus £55 for passes which we can cancel if we don't want) so this "£15 per person holiday" will cost us £30 each:( 2 of which are 3 + 7 year olds. And i've just realised its only a 2 bedroom van so we can't even have a room each. wish i hadn't bothered now.

On the page I was looking for the confirmation it states per person per night and the price.

Sounds like what i am expecting tbh? (Haven't got my confirmation yet though)

just been and double checked at the top of the page it says per unit (i assume) that means per caravan not per person? pupn not pppn. and it says includes gas and electricity, so what could "power charge" be for? - extra £20?)

and actually now i've double checked it says for my dates/place booked half price entertainments pass:mad: - when you're talking 8 people (2 seperate bookings 2 vans) thats a fair bit of money

the more i'm looking into it the crosser i'm getting:p It is EXACTLY the same price to book on line with haven direct as it is to book a £15 hoilday throught the mail!!! wish i hadn't 'grabbed it' now because haven send money off vouchers nearer the time (because we've been there before) so i would have got it cheaper. gggrrr:mad:

I was shocked at the extra money they're wanting for the power, i'm sure we didn't need to pay this when we went in Sept with Break Free.:(

  • Mine does have a saving from the Haven price displayed. Maybe it depends what week you booked for and what park you chose?

Just wondered if you'd managed to sort this out? My confirmation came today and we have been charged for 4 entertainment passes, when there are only three of us and one of those is under 5 so we should only be charged for 2. Also been charged £14.00 for linen but i am assuming if we bring our own we will not be charged this?
  • Phone up to pay by credit card and tell them you dont want the linen and passes and all you will have to pay for is the power which is circa 20-25 quid for a 4 night stay. I paid 42 quid and the power will put the cost up to 65-70 quid, hardly daylight robbery. Depends what you want from your accomodation really. I just want somewhere to sleep at night and somewhere to cook an evening meal.
