6 months Sky for £75.00

Sky are offering a Christmas pressie package of 6 months sky for £75.00. (choose two packages)

This includes installation of the dish and a box, I would assume after the six months you keep the equipment and can switch to freeview.

This would be ideal for anyone who would need to upgrade their ariel to obtain freeview.

Sea-side lady - To answer your question, yes they do have offers for existing customers. I called up, saying I was going to Telewest, and they offered 3 months half price, or 25% off for 12 months (only if you agree to a new 12 month contract). Give them a call and I'm sure you'll save some money.

their current offer is 3 months half price, so on 2 mixes 3 months half price is 7.50*3=22.5, after 3 months these 2 mixes go up to 15 pounds so 15*3=45; so after 6 months its 22.5+45=67.5. is this cheap or the first post?
  • I just phoned them and they recon the best offer they can do is reduce half my packages and save me £6 a month, which is a pathetic offer as we get all the channels and have a multi room which comes to £63 a month, so u see the reason i need an offer..!
Im sure there has to be another way to get the offers

I did that last week. I told them that because I live in a development I have pay an extortionate £78 a year for the "maintenance" of the communal dish (managed by Community Vision). I asked them whether they could offer my something to compensate me for this. I was immediately offered 25% off any Sky package for 12 months.
  • sky do offer great savings for existing customers, earlier this year my skybox finally "passed out" i called them to see if they could replace the box, at first they was trying to charge a "call out fee" of £100. After a few hums and arghs i told them id leave it and transfer over to "free view"...tada ..."one moment madam, il have a word with my superviser see if we can arrange a deal" ... few minutes later .."we can arrange for our engineer to replace your box and we can offer you the full package for half price for the next 3 months".. anyway ...after the 3 months i called back .. said i was impressed with the package but still thought "freeview" would be better value... they extented the offer for a further 3 months! :j .... if your after a good deal i think ud be better waiting untill january when less people sign up.

If you're not tied into a contract, threaten to leave, they will soon reduce your subscription. I sent a confirmation email to customer services (email addy on their website) saying Telewest can offer me a better deal and that if Sky could not offer me an incentive to stay then to take the email as confirmation that i wanted to cancel my subscription. I got a reduction the same day of 50% for 6 months.:j
  • Thanx 4 that im going to try and threaten to cancel and see what i get offered, my worry is that i cancel and get no offers, as we dont have normal tv, (bad ariel i think)
