I expect most people were expecting it. Very low volumes and a large percentage of these will have been distressed sales. Having said that these figures are sooooo much more believable than the Haliwide figures.

it's probably not been posted because since June it only shows a 0.78% drop in house prices and that includes this months 0.6% fall -
that won't make it a popular index.

Indeed. If you had said on this or any of the more extreme sites that prices would be higher in Nov 10 than in Nov 09 you would have been ridiculed (in fact if you say that prices will be higher in Nov 2011 then there will be someone out there who KNOWS they won't).

After seeing lots of references to HPC I had a look over there last week.

It's a bit boring - everyone agrees with each other.

The thing that's more boring is that it is continually being discussed here. It would be nice to keep the boredom in one place.

Someone whose been a member over there since Nov 06 says "I love it when a plan comes together". :rotfl: Anyway over 2k views over there this morning though (you would think they had seen enough false dawns by now).

LR catching up with Haliwide then, ie stagnation. The next question is will Haliwide then LR start showing nominal falls like Rightmove which is the leading indicator, albeit the least accurate.

Generally Haliwide and LR correlate pretty well I think, given a time lag between mortgages being agreed and house sales being registered.

Yes but it makes a 1.6% fall in the last three months IIRC
