This Is Shocking....

Ive posted about this elsewhere and will say it again....It would be so easy for Ebay to have a rule that only registered charities may sell items that are designed for charity. Then people like WIRM can report any one selling otherwise just like the links.
It is any wonder that Ebay are the fastest growing company in history!!!!
However, it is only a matter of time before Ebay switch their policies around as by ignoring these issues and being greedy they will only damage their image in the long run and start to lose money. Its a long time off though.0 -
Not really. I am trying to remove things from eBay that aren't allowed.LongDongDave wrote:Not being one to judge, Mr Wirm, but i think you have kicked your campain to clean up eBay in the boll*cks by that statement :-(
There is nothing wrong with selling wristbands on eBay! If I had of got 50p for mine, I wouldn't of cared just happens that some **** paid £21 for it!0 -
wirm? If you campaigned to have these wristbands removed from eBay, I'm sure you'd have a bigger impact with your campaign for the scammers as well.
But that's just my opinion.0 -
but wristband are allowed on eBay.....(aren't they?)
I'm trying to get people to report things that aren't allowed....0 -
They must be allowed judging by how many are being sold there wirm.
But it's going back to what people find ethical I suppose. Personally I find anyone making a profit from Breast Cancer Awareness offensive and, to me, immoral.
People might feel the same about other wristbands, but I've already mentioned that particular one before it appeared. I've been blaming the sellers, the buyers, the charities etc, but if there is none, especially for cancer related bands and paraphenalia, there'd be no demand would there? So it must be the charities??0 -
supply and demand.
people are willing to buy them so users will sell them......0 -

But that's a standard reply wirm.
If the charities concerned charged for these bands, and charged to have someone's personal name put on them, the demand would soon go down wouldn't it?
Don't get me wrong. I didn't agree with the selling of sim cards a couple of months ago, but now I realise that some people sell things just to get by.
It's just the whole charity thing that gets me. What's charitable about it?0 -
Thats true, but some of them are charging are they not.
i know the beat the bully ones were free so people could order loads. I ordered one because I wanted it, but it didn't fit me so I had no use for it...0 -
Tbh wirm, I don't know which charities charge what anymore. But I do think your eBay campaign might benefit from highlighting the profits made from something that should really be free. Or not for resale.
But again, that's just my opinion.0 -
Definitely wrong angelcake.. Same thing happened with yellow bands ( Cancer awareness ). defies the word Charity?????? The Bug
There's nothing worse than wasted talent!!!!!0
