Cancel my contract and request pac code
Hi there i am on a t mobile contract right now well my 12 months ended a good few months back but have not upgraded or got a new contract yet and still pay for my old contract,i am waiting for a phone deal from another network to come through and if it does i be looking to keep my phone number from t mobile.
This would be transfered to vodaphone if my new phone deal goes ahead, anyway i need to know how i go about this and when? How long it can take and what happend when your waiting for number to be changed.
I beleive its called your pac code and you request this from your provider you want he number from.
Do i need to do this before i end my contract, after i end my contract or can this be done anytime, its just as soon as i know my new contract is gonna happen i will want to cancel my t mobile contract asap and i think they normally need 30 days notice is this right,so say i was to cancel my contract in the next few days or so then i will need to wait 30 days before it can be done is this right and what happens with my pac code i request this also at same time?
I am just looking for these answers in advance as if i get this new phone deal then i will want to cancel my old contract asap

Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.

Just call T and ask for your pac. It lasts 30 days after which you need a new one.
Voda are the only network where you can only pac in at the start of the contract, so you MUST give them the pac when you agree to the contract. It takes about 3 working days for the number to move over, the Voda handset with come with a temp number while the port goes through. . .0 -
Vodafone support porting in after the contract has started as they have for some time now but there is a time limit of 30 days after commencing the new contract.
As soon as you have your PAC code give the Porting Department a call on 08080 945 945 option 3 and they will transfer your TMobile number to your Vodafone contract. Customer Services will also be able to give you a porting date.
Vodafone do not issue temporary numbers. Whilst you are waiting for the port to go through, carry on using your TMobile SIM. As soon as your TMoblile SIM shows as 'inactive', your number will be active with Vodafone.0
