Try posting on the chatter forum of https://www.dogpages.org.uk regarding suitable dog and cat food which may be cheaper than your current one. There are a lot of knowledgeable people on there willing to offer advice. Also do you get your pet meds from your vet or online? They are much cheaper to buy online - I use bestpetpharmacy but there are lots of companies selling things direct as long as you have a vet's prescription.
Good luck with your job hunt0 -
I do not think anyone means to be rude to anyone on here, I just see that everyone is so stressed out that sometimes we all put thoughts into words that we would not use in a face to face conversation.
No harm done, we all have our problems and I really appreciate all input on this thread. Thanks0 -
I get al my pet meds(wormers, flea treatment, joint tablets for the dog etc etc) from AnimedDirect which is the cheapest online that I could find. Vets are insane with their prices....0

Hi grumpyoldwoman41.... sorry that you are having such a tough time of things.
I have noticed in your posts that you mention several times that you have debts but that you do not include any outgoings in your calculations. Just wanted to let you know that for credit cards and loans you can call and explain that you are in dire financial circumstances and offer a token payment of £1 per month as a goodwill gesture until your finances change. You can also ask them to freeze any further interest. Not good for your credit rating might help to relieve some of the pressure on you.
I know from personal experience that this is a terrible time for you. Have you visited the CCCS website? There is lots of helpful info there plus you can use the site to create a statement of income and expenditure. This may be of help when dealing with your creditors (if applicable in your situation).
Good luck, hope things inprove for you soon.

I may be wrong but I'm sure that the RSPCA etc only charge cost for required meds? Years ago when I was on JSA my cat took a flying leap off the roof and had to have surgery- I'm pretty sure they charged very little for the meds she needed.2011- new year, new start.

Frugal MOuse, thanks - I had a DMP with CCCS which I had to stop from 1st December (£570 per month that I simply do not have) and now looking into BR.0
