  • We are going to try and list a load of stuff this weekend but OH at work so at moment it's just me sorting everything out ready.

Oshkosh what we sometimes do is type all the details out in word (or your equivalent) and when we want to list just copy and paste in - bit of hassle but saves 6p!!!

soooo annoying that its only a windows based piece of software - no good for us Mac users!!! I'm not a big seller so the other ones aren't really suitable I don't think.

    Thanks for the advice though!

Unless anyone else can suggest something else I think I might have to pay the 6p - I suppose its not that much is it!

I just write up descriptions in word, weigh them as I go along, then copy and paste into ebay directly when I want to list them.

If you're going to be ebaying a large amount or all year all the 6ps would add up, and in the end it's better to have the 6p yourself rather than let ebay have anymore than they already take in fvf's and paypal fees :)

  • I'm just about to do some more relists, I don't normally like listing or having listings ending this early but am just going to try and list as much as possible for the next two days, will leave the good stuff for the evenings.

I have the same problems with motivation. We have a whole room of things which need to be eBayed. The only way I can manage is to go in with a box, fill it and do that lot first. When I am finished I will go back for another box. If you try and do it all at once I don't get anywhere
I think that's a good plan, to pace yourself... I'm not going to over-do it this weekend as I always sicken myself and then don't list anything else for weeeeeeks.

I've just taken a batch of photos, gotta get around to resizing them all now :o This is the bit that I hate the most.
  • I have so many boxes of stuff that I've sorted out to Ebay and still not got round listing it all. Must sort my office out in a bit so I can work, it's only a small room and I have 5 massive boxes in here with stuff in to list (Personal and Business), wish there were more hours in a day!!

I've got another question - how do you prepare the listing to upload later?! Is there some kind of software you use, or do you prepare your text in word beforehand and then past it in when you want to start the listing? Or do you pay the 6p for delayed start?

Hope that's clear - thanks again for all your advice!

I do put them on scheduled for 6p and then before the listing goes I log in and set them to upload now instead, thus avoiding the fee. You have to remember to do that though, otherwise you will get the fee. Works for me though, I set a reminder on my phone. I find if I set them for a week away, and I know when I do want them to go on then I still have plenty of time to remember and get them live before the 6p fee kicks in.

You are only charged the 6p if and when the listing starts using scheduled

    Does that make sense?

So in theory, I can load up everything in scheduled listing then change it when i'm ready to list as long as its before then scheduled start time and don't get charged? Sounds good to me.:D

That's exactly how I understand what too - let's wait for confirmation! If it is the case then that would be a good way around it!
