Thanks Custardy. So next question, what would you leave as feedback? I'm tempted to put neutral and mention that item was not as described but refund offered. What do you think?

Think you have been stung by that seller - the return postage is the responsibility of the buyer, usually. For future reference ALWAYS send returns by some sort of traceable means - recorded is cheapest! You could email the seller and say you are claiming against RM for loss of item and RM will be in touch with them to confirm they havent recieved the item ( which is the procedure) Now if the seller has their concious pricked they may suddenly realise they have had the item after all;) You could also ask Ebay to investigate and open a case..............but dont hold your breath! I would leave neg feedback............but that is just me.:)

Igamogam - I know i should have, I just didn't think of it at the time as i was so rushed and busy. Thanks for taking the time to let me know your thoughts. I will start the process with Royal Mail though I imagine it will take a bit of time. Also, I have only until Friday to go to through the Ebay resolution center. Since the RM process will take more that 2 days is there something I should do? ie open a case just until it's resolved? As otherwise, I'm guessing I'd be SOL if there's any issue with RM.

    Thanks again!

I was also hoping for a FLW.

And I've just had my first INR....someone who paid a week after the auction closed and didn't reply to my emails.... :(

Thankfully I have proof of posting. What a pain.

Oh dear Listerbelle, if it's me, I'd refund so she can't leave a negative feedback and just fill out a lost item from the PO. Goodluck with your first difficult buyer.

A buyer sent me a message Friday to say she hasn't received her item while the other 3 buyers whose items I sent the same day have already left +ve feedback. I just emailed her back to say that if it doesn't turn up by tomorrow morning I'll happily refund her and contact RM. I haven't heard so am hoping she got it now.

Sophiasmum well done on your June sales! can't wait to see your July total.

I need to update mine. I have 4 scheduled and about 30+ 99p listings at the moment. Only 5 have bids but still 2 days to go.

I hope credit_crunch had a fabulous day on her wedding day yesterday :)

    Thanks for your support :)

So, do I simply refund via paypal? Will I get my Ebay fees back this way?

Yes, refund by paypal. Then request to cancel the transaction, if they agree, you'll get your fees back. No reason why they shouldn't as they got their money back.

How long have they been waiting for the item? Have they checked with the neighbours? local sorting office?

I remember a buyer contacting me after 2 weeks I posted her item (somewhere in Europe) I was ready to refund her but she was very patient and waited a couple more days. It turned up! said it was normal for her to wait up to 3 weeks for a parcel from Uk.

Am always wary of buyers opening an INR. I'd check their feedbacks to see if it's habit of theirs and report if suspicious. Although I haven't reported anyone.

Feel free to add her to your BBL, you don't want a repeat encounter with this buyer.
