HI guys, I struggle with ebay a lot and thought if i joined you it might help me get over my issues with the site at least a little bit! Aesop recommended this thread (thanks Aesop!!)

I have no free listings because i ended up in hospital in dec and so angry christmas shoppers left me negative feedback and opened cases that had to be resolved by paypal - nothing i could do about it, but bit of a pain now missing out on the listings - have loads of stuff that i list for 99p but wish i could get more for it!

Anyway winge over - am just going to go and relist some things - bit late now i know but better than 9am i guess :p

    Hi Fairyclicks :)

Could you start again? Open up a new ebay account and buy a few small things to get some good feedback? I think you get your free listings back as soon as you link your account to a valid paypal account and get a little bit of feedback. And you don't want that negative feedback associated with you anyway.

I haven't done it myself, so I don't know if there's any problem in having more than one ebay account, but I'm sure some people on here have more than one...

thanks lannieduck :) i have actually tried that but as soon as they link the accounts because of the banking info the restrictions are placed on the new account as well. :( i think its terrible to have the restrictions for a year  and the only way round it is to sell lots in each month! for now i can only tick along as is i think.

Hi Fairyclicks - yes Ive got 2 accounts and they are linked, so if I got restrictions placed on one Im pretty sure the other would be affected. Guess you just have to put up with it for a year - nightmare.
Im a little obsessed (Think ebay makes you an obsessive type person!) with my star ratings and always check them so that I can see where any lower ones have come from! Luckily havent had any in a while.
Anyway - lovely day here so going to take girls to the park as soon as it warms up a bit... will try to get some listings done later.

No FL for me but managed to get 32 listings back on last night which uses the rest of my free 99p ones for the month - does everyone get 100 99p ones for free or does that go up eventually?

fairyclicks - have you tried contacting eBay and explaining what happened and seeing if they can remove the restrictions? It seems a bit unfair to hold this against you for a year when you had no control over the situation - it's not like you were being malicious or intentionally withholding peoples' money!

No i hadn't thought of doing that - i suppose it is worth a try although i did read somewhere they will only remove restrictions for certain reasons and there didn't seem to be anything i could do in my circumstances - an email never hurts though :) thanks katie i will give it a try :D
