I was making good progress with my mammouth photo session and prepping listings, the FL days have come at a perfect time. But i just can't and feel totally pressured now
Don't push yourself. I find I'm either in an ebaying mood, or I'm not. Good thing about this FLW is it's 4 days long! You'll prob wake up tomorrow ready to go :j
And I love the nom-nom-nom icon :TMortgage when started: £330,995

I managed to list 18 items yesterday my best ever :j 2 have bids on already and 1 has a watcher. Hope it is not the same person as last week.
Or the one who bid on a similar item and has not paid for it, so have had to open a case.
I also have another item, the bidder won it, is not happy with it, over a month ago, I told them to return it for a full refund including postage and they haven't. I emailed to ask if it had been sent. They told me they worked in the countryside and it was difficult to get to the post office. Now do I just put a note on and block them?
How long am I supposed to wait for it to be returned?0 -
Wow Aesop - that's brilliant!
Sleepless, I hope you are feeling a lot brighter today.
My visitors have gone and apart from some chocolates (yum), they seem to have left me with a migraine
(Not their faults at all, I think it is because I try so hard to please).
Anyway, I am going to quietly try and list a few more items (peering through the one eye that is working, lol) while I wait for my head to improve.
Oh, before I get cracking, I have a question. I am not very experienced with selling clothes and have some items to list this weekend. My question is, how do you send them so they arrive in a nice condition? I have been disappointed when I have bought clothes in the past to find a crumpled, creased rag at the bottom of a cheap-looking bin bag in the past and don't want my customers to get that impression. Any advice?
Despite the headache, I am enjoying Easter and hope everyone is having a lovely time too!31.5/1000 -
Aesop I would just send a polite email and enquire if they still intended to return the item, and say you have waited over a month and if you do not hear from them or recieve the item back in the next 7 days you will assume they have decided to keep it after all. Alternatively do nothing, you have offered a very fair resolution and after 45 days from the date of sale you will be unable to refund the original transaction anyway.
FrugalLina when i sell clothes i will neatly fold or roll them up, wrap them in bubble wrap, and then pop into a mailing bag.
I find the bubble wrap stops the item rolling around, and the buyer gets to open a nice neatly folded item rather than just grab a creased up item at the bottom of a bag.
Bubble wrap - I usually pick this up free from supermarkets around the fruit and veg they don't mind you taking this. I always used to ask if it was okay for me to have a couple of sheets in the past now in my local store i just ask occassionally if i see someone new working in that area looking at me funny. I am not that mad person with a trolley full of bubble wrap and no shopping :rotfl: i just collect 5 or so sheets when i go fold them up at the bottom of the trolley with soft stuff on top. One sheet will ususally wrap two items
I have prepped 8 items so far today, considering my anti ebay mood and lack of sleep last night i am happy with that :T Also might still get a few more done yet
Happy listing

Augh! Just typed loads and its disappeared
Ill try again.
Sleepless - thats a fab idea, bubble wrap from the supermarket - hadnt thought of that. I try to get all my packaging from work - when we get parcels sent in I salvage the packaging to take home! Only packaging I ever buy is the plastic mailing bags.
Aesop - well done on the listings! Youll prob get a few more done over this free listing weekend
I havent done any yet - but my plan is to go for it tomorrow evening and Monday......0 -
Aesop - as Sleepless says but remember to block them. You may find they dont bother to send it back. But if they claim they have and you haven't received it Eb*y make it very clear that the buyer must return an item by traceable means - one of the rare times Eb*y actually supports the sellerBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Thanks Sleepless, I shall do that. Heh-heh, I am a supermarket bubble-wrap collecting fiend too. Have been doing that for years, lol.
Like Sophiasmum, too - I gather what I can at work as well, although we don't get much there.
Well, I have 35 items listed and I am totally delighted with that (it is a record for me!). I may get another half a dozen or so up tomorrow if I get time.
Mind you, isn't it quiet on there today - no watchers or bidders on any of the items I put up yesterday, I usually see some, but this time there are none at all.
Hopefully, tomorrow there will be some more activity once the fun and family time is over!_sleepless_ wrote: »FrugalLina when i sell clothes i will neatly fold or roll them up, wrap them in bubble wrap, and then pop into a mailing bag.

Aaargh, I haven't taken advantage of the free listing weekend so far and doubt I will at this rate! Been so busy and just haven't felt in the mood.
It's annoying as we've got no space to keep the bits I need to list in the flat so it's all in the loft which is such a pain to access. I can only really do a few bits at a time as there's no room to keep much down once I've done all the photos and checked the items whilst writing the listing for a whole week.
I've got 3 listings due to finish in 2 days and another 3 to finish in 3 days though. So far got multiple watchers on all but one and have had some bids so that's promising. Really hoping the one with 7 watchers and 4 bids will turn into a bidding war, well I can hope!
Am mightily jealous at all you organised lot who've taken full advantage of the free listings though. Need someone to come and give me a kick up the bum!"I've fallen down a hole" - said in best Monty Python voice-over.0 -
Hi all, I haven't read the whole thread yet....Wow its a long one!
I'd like to join you all, although ebay hasn't made me rich yet, its certainly helps bring some extra pennies in
So i thought i'd pop in and sat Hi  while its quiet, and hopefully this post will find you all relaxing after ebaying like crazy over the last few days
So far this FLW i have managed 20 new listings yesterday, and hope to add another 10 minimum today, and also parcel up 12 items that sold over the weekend, IF i can get that done today i'll be happy

Have sold about 10 items over the weekend. Will get those sorted and posted tomorrow. Bet there's long queues in the post office!
Managed about 10 new listings and 20 relists yesterday. I've got a few more bits and pieces lying around, so might have a go at getting those on today.
Having trouble with a buyer who retracted his bid because he 'couldn't contact seller'. That's the first I've heard of it. I've just e-mailled him (without any problems about getting in touch, lol!) and he seems to be worried about not being able to collect immediately. I really don't mind if he doesn't collect for a week or so, as long as I know the item's going to go, esp since it's quite large. Hopefully he'll place his bid again...Mortgage when started: £330,995
