**Make Me Rich This Year eBay or Else!!**

Hey Everyone,
Congrats on all your sales this past week!! I have a few watchers on my 13 items and one that's definitely sold so yay for that!
I do have an off-topic question for you about gift certificates though. Does anyone know if there's a 'cooling off' period when you've bought one? DH bought me a spa gift certificate Monday but I know I won't use it and so would rather turn it into something else. The t&cs online say no refund but I was hoping that there is another way we can get our money back. Any ideas?
Thank so much!

Wow, I don't know if I could cope with listing so many every week that some of you do. I try and stick with 10 or so and end up staying up until well after midnight on Sundays printing labels and packing things up. People at work are beginning to comment at my shambled appearance on Monday mornings as well as my frequent visits to the post office, lol!
I have been a bit busy this week and not prepared any listings for tonight, no photos or anything - so the minute I get in from work this evening, I am going to have to get the camera out and get clicking. Looks like I will be looking a bit bleary-eyed in the office tomorrow too!
Still, it has really helped reduce my credit card debt and clear some space, I have tons more to do and am determined to have something finishing every single weekend if it kills me.
Is Easter time a time to avoid or is it good, do you think? I imagine lots of people will be away or outside.31.5/1000 -
So pleased to hear you're all doing so well!
Frugalinalol on your shambled appearance...if only they knew what you've been doing with your weekends
Well done on reducing your debt! As for listing at Easter time, I'd list anyway if I've got time and you're happy if they end at 99p. Going to the PO will be a hassle as ds hates going out if it's to do with errands.
Slipper, that's very thoughtful of your hubbyI'm jealous
that is always the case with gift certificates, no refunds, but you can always ask if you can exchange to a different service/product? Why not use it, treat yourself! I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Or sell it on ebay? don't know how you about it though. To friends, at a discounted price?
Credit Crunch, you're big day is getting closer! so exciting. goodluck on listing 100's of items!
Yorkielass, I feel your sentiments on house selling. How are you getting on? we're finding it hard at the moment. We've dropped our price twice and have taken another agent. Had a few viewers and just this week accepted a lower offer from an investor. Not as excited as the first time cos we know anything can go wrong. Got our fingers crossed we won't be let down again. I hope your situation improves now the better weather is coming0 -
This is just the thread I've been looking for! I've just started a new diary about extra ways I plan to earn some dosh while I'm unemployed for a couple of months this summer. I've got so much perfectly decent stuff laying around which I don't use anymore but lack the motivation to put it all on eBay - seeing how well you guys are doing with it is just the motivation I need!0

Slipper75 - if its for a spa near you why not put it on facebook at a slightly reduced price to recoup some of the funds??!
Ive got about 16 listed on one account and have been doing really well - but ran out of free 99p listings on Monday (after photographing loads of items to put on!) Dont really want to put them onto my 2nd account as Im trying to keep that just for stamps at the mo. So looks like Ill be listing more stamps tonight and all weekend - until April 1st when its all go again.0 -
Thanks MerryMary, I will just put a few things on for Easter, nothing too valuable just in case no-one bids.
Managed to get 7 items listed, will get the remaining three up on Saturday or Sunday, I have to get them out of the dark, dark cupboard and I don't fancy going in there just now (things fall on me and I may never get out alive).
Bids are coming in for my current listings, 10 people watching one item, but no bidders, grrrr!31.5/1000 -
Well done Frugallina
I just added 11 items onto my stamp account....Forgot I had quite a few items ending tonight and they did quite well! So I am pleased. Will need to do some packing when the payments roll in - but I dont work on Fridays so thats doable.
Have got a non payment case open with one non payer - how long does it stay open? Does anyone know??0 -
Got this email this morning
nothing on announcement page and someone is saying it means free listings for everyone, not just mobile app users?
not sure how true this is.
BUT if you use your mobile ebay app to list, 100 free listings this weekend.
sorry to those who have listed this week.
I was going to aim for another 5 listings everyday, not managed it though and glad now!0 -

I also got that email today Aesop, and noticed the following in the terms/conditions under "whats included":
Only items listed with the Quick Sell or Advanced Sell (Sell Your Item) forms, or the eBay iPhone, eBay iPad, eBay Android, eBay Blackberry or eBay Windows Phone applications.
So that kind of suggest that it's free listing for all.....?!0
