Hey! I've decided to join this thread! I started listing things on ebay last weekend (free listings
) although after reading this thread and realising that everything at 0.99 doesn't get listing fees anyway, I could have started much sooner :P Oh well!
So far I've got 66 items listed which so far totals £47.73Happy days! Although I am a bit of a pessemist and I'm expecting things to go wrong.
Welcome to this thread Fredula, I've lurked, but finally posting!
Yes, eBay give you free listings if the start price is 99p. However, they only allow you a maximum of 100 free listings per month. The mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work unless it's open0 -
Hi everyone
I've got 16 listings ending tonight, four of which have bids totalling £12.66 which is a lot less than I was hoping for but still a few hours left, hopefully lots of last minute bidders!0 -

He is now coming to collect it but basically there is nothing you can do is there on a collection, whether they have paid via paypal or pay you on colection - i.e. if they want to, they could just say they didn't "receive" it & you would have to refund them? Is that right?
If the buyer has paid with paypal, collects the item then later opens a paypal case saying item not received, then yes unfortunately unless you can prove postage (tracking number) then paypal will find in their favour0 -

Obviously there are some scammers out there but it's still more likely that this one will be ok. It requires some extraordinary brass neck to look you in the eye and then later claim they never had it, especially seeing as you have their address via paypal. What is their feedback like?0 -
Jevvers - yes, very true! I shall have a look in the morning but I'm pretty sure that they had lots of good feedback. I'm sure it'll be fine. I think I am getting a bit paranoid about ebay tbh as I had a pair of boys trousers that sold for 99p a few weeks ago to a very new buyer, the buyer never paid, ebay tried to sort it & came back & said that the buyer was no longer registered. I relisted them & they sold again to another newish buyer & for some reason I knew that they wouldn't pay & again ebay are looking into it. Something made me think that its just the same buyer doing it as some sort of joke! Paranoid or what, lol!Grocery aim £450pm.Spent £519 August, £584 July, £544 June, £541 May, £549 April, £517 March, £517 Feb,£555 Jan, £573 Dec, £465Nov, £561Oct, £493Sept, £426Aug,£496 Jul, £528Jun, £506May,£498April, £558 March, £500Feb, £500 Jan, £490 Dec, £555 Nov,£566 Oct, £505Sept, £450Aug, £410 July, £437 June, £491 May, £471 April, £440 March, £552Feb, £462Jan0

Hi,
not done much posting on here but stiil ebaying, albeit on a small scale lol
just got my first neg:(
buyer was unhappy, I offered full refund, but that it seems wasn't good enough. they've kept the item and left me a neg. It's really put me off now. silly I know but i only had 40 feedback, so my % has dropped to 95%. I'm sure it'll put lots of buyers off.
hey ho, live n learn...i'll be extra wary of buyers with private feedback in future.

You used to be able to add a subscript to your feedback, not sure if you still can?
Keep going, the more you sell, the more feedback you get, and you'll see your feedback percentage rising. You know yourself, you did all you could.

I do understand, I always get a bit twitchy about collection items too and I have got another one this weekend which I hope will be ok. But all has been fine so far. Sorry to hear about your NPB - at least it was only 99p.
In other news I have just sold an item for the third time of listing. Only 99p but every little helps.
Bad luck on your neg Halfpint, as Midwinter says, keep on keeping on.0 -

Could you ask them to complete the feedback at your house when they collect?0 -

You can still reply to feedback left. Just leave a factual reply along the lines of 'no communication from buyer, full refund given' etc
Make sure your reply is in lowercase not capitals as future buyers would see this as being a bit argumentative0
