Hi,
Got a new xbox 360 for christmas, I am trying to connect via a wireless netgear router and its saying its the wrong wpa code.
Im pretty sure its right, however I cant log into the router via router log in to check it. I have tried using admin and password to log in - but I must have changed them ( dont know what to!)
Is there a way to find my wpa code without having to reset my router? as l really dont want to to do this.
Many thanks
Karen

I am definately using the correct case, and admin and password are not working Ive just done it again using an ethernet cable but it didnt work.
I don't know all the details to enter back into the router if I reset it thats whats putting me off.
(is there any details I need to know before resetting it)
Thank you for taking the time to help me, I appreciate it

well as its a netgear (ive reset mine before) all you need to know is that username and password is admin password respectively then once logged into router go to something like wireless settings and enter a passphrase and chose what kind of security needed eg wpa, wep but do this whilst connected by ethernet to router
if unsure about anything let us know0 -
if it's a sky -flashed netgear, the login is admin and sky, not admin and password...
the other things you need are the ISP logon details (username and password) to authenticate to your ISP, again unless it's a sky branded one, where they'll be embedded and a hard reset won't budge them
also, it sounds like you may have the wifi key set as WEP, not sure if 360 can handle WEP. Once you get into the router, check this and change it to WPA and pick a new key......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple

I tried it with ethernet from xbox to router and the green lights on the xbox did go 1 stage further than on wireless, but then came up with
DNS server cant resolve the names of the xbox live servers.
Do you want to manually enter DNS- which is 192.168.0.1 I will see what happens if i put it in
Heeeelp!!!
Thanks
