Ive been tying out my new EON energy measuring device
Seeing how much the comp was using when left running at night. Then with it off.
Ive also got really bad flu (2 nights without any actual sleep, and another 2 raining sweat and my temp through the roof)
Just hope ill be ok for work on Sunday :(

Bit O/T, but I'll send a couple of crates of Newcastle Brown for the flu M8

BTW, it does nothing whatsoever for the clinical condition, but by the time you come round the 4 days have passed, the symptoms are over, and you don't feel a thing during the process ! :D

  • only just found this thread.....

I have a Panasonic '42' plasma which I am very pleased with. For the record, they use pioneer kuro panels in their tvs just after pioneer stopped making TVs , so you will be getting one of, if not the best panels around. 'kuro' means black and the blacks really are black in those panels!
Secondly please DONT base your final decision on seeing a tv on the shop floor. Why? Because they all have the contrasat/brighness setting scewed right up to the max, so what it will looke like once its set up in your room could be totally different!

To that end, try to find a dedicated hifi dealer with an AV dem room so you can compare in comfort with no sales pressure.

Ah ! - so you are the famous ' four apple ' spud.

Not for me I was 16 and already a serving soldier. Proper scrumpy, it looked like wallpaper paste with big lumps in it, tasted great at the time. FF another 54 years and never ever again, no way.

Apologies to the OP, but this thread has been commandeered. :)

Yup, about 20yrs ago my local had 2 ciders, one was for the day before payday, when some customers would be skint.

Manys the time when I've heard somebody ask for a "pint of lumps".

Other stuff we'd get from a farm in a plastic can, after a couple of days in the fridge it would be a fluorescent green.
