Now that would be popular.
They've been rumoured to be working on that many times. Auto express had a photo mockup a few months ago that looked a lot like the VW Scirocco. In fairness, they'd probably ruin it with a silly small displacement turbo engine. Needs a big fat V6/V8.0 -

It will also do 50mpg day-in-day-out regardless of how you drive it.
Buy one for little over £1k.
Hello Radion...
Also a vote for an MG, this time a ZS. My ZS diesel did 50mpg, was a hoot and a half (due to having 150bhp, remap and other engine work) but even as the standard 99 it was a lot of fun to throw around corners.
They're a bit slow as standard, but £300 will see 150bhp which makes all the difference.
And yes I know this thread is old, but it's handy for others after the same thing. I'd have another ZS in a heartbeat, but I'd love a 180 this time.0 -

On Breakfast Tv they had a sporty hybrid that has just come out in the States and it averaged 55mpg. Only downside is it cost £100k.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.
Daniel Defoe: 1725.

Fiat Coupe? Always traded in cheap (or they try to) "all it needs is a new timing belt".
Get a BMW 330 or 530 and get cars you can use all day every day.0 -
The coupe is an awesome car, esp in 2.0 turbo form. I think timing belt is only a labour intensive / engine out job in the older cars.
I love the alfa GTV 3.0/3.2 v6, although if you're after economy you'll want the pedestrian 2.0.
I'm looking to purchase a mazda RX8 231 in the next few days, although its real world MPG makes some v8s look economical!0 -

I had no problems with mine. Mind you, I did have it from new and for the money, there wasn't much to match it on looks or performance and mine was a non-turbo. I did road test the turbo version though and I'm fairly confident in saying to match the performance, you would need to spend at least another £10k on something else. Cant believe they didn't replace it TBH.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0
