Mooloo's New Home, New Year and New Start part 3

Have you looked at Martin's article on travel insurance? About half way down there's a section on pre-existing conditions. It's exceedingly tedious doing the research: our insurer for last year has declined to cover me this year, and I'm not sure if it's because of the injury itself, because I'm still having physio for it, because I had to have 8 weeks off afterwards, or quite what! They did make an alternative offer, but that doesn't cover any pre-existing conditions, and while I'd be happy with that for me, DH has osteoporosis and despite being symptomless and improving, I can just see him breaking something and no-one being prepared to say it wasn't because of his weak bones!
I fear the same, will happen to me. Probably uninsurable these days. Have to confess I didnt declare anything previously.:o
I will take a look a bit later when I have a bit more time.
I spent hours yesterday catching up on the washing for Twin1, and it was nearly 10pm when I had what I brought in all folded etc. There are still a few bits left to wash, and a rotary line full of stuff I put out yesterday evening. I was hoping to get it dried by lunch time to day, so I can take it back again and reclaim my downstairs from the "laundry" that it looks like at the moment.
BF is coming over today. So I will need to get a bit of a tidy up on as DGD's toys have spread again, and so has my paperwork etc. Nothing new, it moves when I am not expecting it, I just have to turn my back a day or so, and there it is, a pile on the table, or a pile on the floor!
If the sun comes out, hopefully I can get BF to help me make some more of the garden suitable for DGD. The area between what the man dug up and the back door/patio that BF started to lay. The Mud is currently higher then the slabs in places, and the roots of old plants are beginning to trip us up.
My DIY list is mixed in with my other todo's so I will need to seperate it and bring some of it to his attention. I have learnt that he gets restless here, so I will keep him busy if i can!.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Well I have caught up on the washing up, and twins washing. Been to Mr T for my shopping. Managed to spend £35.05! So I will have to be more careful, as I didnt take my shopping list. Although the only things that I bought that were not originally in my mind were toothepastes as they were on a good offer. So I ended up spending £5 that I could probably have managed with out, as when I got home there was still one new toothepaste in the cupboard. Also the sweets that DGD wanted were not on my list. But she behaved really well so I got her some. Normally we have a scene or two in the shops but today she was very good.
BF is coming over around about 1pm so we're having lunch then. Bought a lovely warm baguette.
Right cup of tea is nearly finished and it will be time to tidy up the sitting room.- Again, or is that still? Didnt seem to make much of an impression on the clutter, dispite sorting out the storage box in the corner, moving all the washing upstairs or into the car if it was twins. Its the paperwork, and the toys that are still on every surface!!! EEK.
Left arm is complaining as well, as it doesnt like pushing trolleys and driving as well. So the typing also is uncomfortable to say the least.
Such is life.
No calls from the family asking for anything so thats a bonus.
Been to see Molly, she is a little brighter, but still very under the weather. So I hope I managed to cheer her up a little. Gave her her Birthday present, so I dont think she will mind me telling you all now, that I had made her a saddlebag, with matching accessories, I thought they would be good for her holiday on Monday, so she got to open it while DGD and I were there. Bit early but never mind she will have lots of presents from her family I am sure.
I will upload a piccy later. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Well here is the picture of the final results of Molly's bag.
The rest of the pictures are on my blog.
The twins want me to make them one for thier birthdays in November. So thats a project for me too. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Thankyou for the bag is wonderful x
I love that particular pattern as it is bright and cheery. Lovely to see you and DGD. You are such a special friend to me xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

:bdaycake:Morning,
Today is Molly's Birthday, and she and her family are off for a short break at Centre Parcs.
Well the weekend has wizzed by once more, and its Monday morning and everyone is back to work etc. Well its back to Nursery this morning for DGD, early start at 8am (ish) till 1pm. So I can then tackle a few jobs around the house, like Decluttering, and do my sewing too.
Ebay was not a success this time, only one item sold to one of my fans. So I will be rethinking where to put them. I will not give up hope though as I think that the items that have sold, and those ordered by the Mums etc mean there is an interest in my things, its just a bit spasmodic at the moment.
I shall find out a bit more about the website, and its construction and get some sort of payscheme set up. Thats my down fall, technology. I would rather just be sitting in my work room, creating, and letting someone else do the practical work!! Mind you I feel like that about housework, but the budget is already at full stretch. The holiday is 3 weeks tomorrow, and the piggy bank is empty.
I desperately would like to have some money for the holiday sorted out, and had hoped my ebaying would have worked. Oh well, will just have to be very, very Frugal over the next two weeks, and not spend anything on any extra's what so ever, and see if I can get that Car Insurance any lower.
I went through OnePol, and they had a £100 cashback with Aviva, but they quoted £303 and that would mean spending £70 more now, to get the cash back later on in the year. But I need to have the car insured before the 18th, and I need to save every penny NOW not later. So I have had to give it a miss. Not as MSE as I would have liked but its the cash now thats important at the moment.
My expenses are also still not received from SS. So thats another dent of over £100. Which would have gone a long way to helping with my spending money. (I shouldnt have had the car serviced when i did, or bought the washing machine for the kids really, as that was my savings gone. But I didnt know that we would be having a holiday at all, nevermind so early in the year compared to normal, in October.).
Right, this is not getting the work done. I have last nights, correction Yesterdays washing up to do. Didnt do any dishes during the day either! mm bit naughty of me.
The washing needs to go on. Mine this time.
I will need to wake DGD in a few minutes, so the peace will be shattered. So that we can get ready for Nursery. But I am going to enjoy the peace and finish my cup of tea first. Just to savour the quiet, and the non demanding 5 mins. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
:bdaycake:Happy Birthday Molly
I hope that you are having a wonderful day.
Mooloo have you got a local LETS group? There might be someone more computer savvy who will swap some website design time for a Mooloo original. It's always worth a shot.0 -
I know it might not be how you like to do things Mooloo but seeing as your BF booked the holiday as a surprise, I think he should be footing the bill!0

I suppose that I should have thought of that one, but I already gave him the Budget for the accommodation/flight/car hire I had saved, so its just the spending. We have always shared the costs down the middle, (which means he is paying part of DGD's costs).
Its just that we are going two months earlier then usual and I spent the money on other things earlier.
Mind you, I will be very canny and not offer to pay for things first anymore!! Especially if we are to eat out at all.
I am just going to have to be honest with him, and tell him that I only have X amount of Euros and thats it.
I went to the shop to deliver the bags/purses etc that she was going to have, to find that she has sold the business back to the owner of the shop/ who is now looking for someone else to take over the business. So I had to suddenly pitch a sale to him.
So he has agreed to take them on Sale or Return for 14days to see if they sell. But he didnt want the childrens aprons etc.
But I have a craft fair coming up I may be able to sell them at, or via the Nursery so not all is lost.
Twin2 wanted money today, to go and sign on and for electric.
The floating £10 has gone astray. Twin1 has spent it, dispite her having a budgeting loan and her benifits last week.
I am in dispair, I dont have the funds to do much. Have gone for the lesser of two evils and combining driving her to town, waiting, and coming back, via delivering the washing to her sisster, and going to see Biggest of Mooloo on the way back. She will have to take DGD to the park for the priviledge while Biggest and I chat.!
The electric is a difficult one, as I have had to buy mine today. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
