Hi just tried to find a sample letter for account in dispute letter dont suppose u have any links ? please0
-
I'll have a look for a link on here for the account in dispute letter. I don't use this forum very often as i am usually on the consumer action group forum. But I trawl over here to look for any HFO threads, as I hate them!
Without seeing your Application for credit I can only guess. They are on dodgy ground trying to enforce applications (and as HFO specialise in buying debts that are very often unenforcable, it could be one). But again without seing a copy of it , it is difficult to say.
Is it the origional document that he signed or a reconstituted one?0 -
Hi it looks like it is the real one and has is signature on says application on top the credit agreement bit off it as a barcode stuck on it and seems to have been printed so impossible to read.0
-
What year is the agreement from?0
-
Hi the application is from 2003.0

There is a good chance that the agreement is unenforcable anyway from that period, but without seeing it I wouldn't want to say either way. However as it's with HFO, they specialise in purchasing debts that are often unenforcable.
They still haven't sent you a statement of account. Sending you an application for credit does not prove a debt, it just proves you once applied for it.
You should now send an account in dispute letter to HFO.
Just going to re-read your thread to get things straight in my head again.
I think your next course of action should be to send a SAR request to Barclays and get all the information that they have on you (if you haven't already).
A few things don't add up in my head, one being the the Notice of Assignment sent from Barclays (Via HFO). They don't send these and they always have a signature and name on official letters for accountability.0 -
I think you should ring Barclays and ask them who the debt was sold to and on what date.
You mentioned a credit report attached to your letter, is this a screen shot from experian?0 -
Okay will try them in a bit. Yeah it is the eperian snap shot report.0
