Update on the Glasgow Carling Academy Tickets from Ticketweb!!

I just got this email from them

    Dear Customer,

On Tuesday 31 October, the TicketWeb system incorrectly released for sale a number of tickets for the sold out Killers concert on 22 November at the Carling Academy Glasgow. As a result unfortunately your booking cannot be honoured, and we have refunded your card payment in full.

We appreciate this is very disappointing for you and we would like to sincerely apologise for the inconvenience. However, we have now secured tickets for the Killers concert at the SECC Glasgow on 22 February 2007, for which you will be able to purchase the number of tickets you originally ordered. The price of the tickets for the SECC concert is £26.50 but you will be able to purchase these tickets at your original purchase price of £22.50 each, plus booking fee. These tickets are reserved for you to purchase until Tuesday 21 November.

If you would like to purchase these tickets please reply to this email with confirmation by that date. Please include your original booking confirmation and the last three digits of your security number on the back of the card you made the purchase with. Once we have received your confirmation, we will process your booking as soon as possible.

Once again, TicketWeb would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused, and we would like to assure you that this matter is being thoroughly investigated, and although errors are rare, every precaution is being taken to avoid a re-occurrence.

    Kind Regards

    TicketWeb Customer Services

So its not all bad cause we get to buy the SECC ones at the cheaper price. Better than nothing.

We had two orders aswell and both of us got the email. Not checked refund yet but they were both credit cards so it wont show straight away anyway.

You can check your order on their site from the link in your order email so maybe see what yours says. Mine is showing as returned.

  • I see these gigs are now a complete sell-out. And were so within 5 minutes.
  • So have these tickets all been cancelled? Or just certain ones or through a certain provider? I've booked through see tickets and I've had my confirmation email and nothing else, am I to assume all is ok with them?
