    Update:

Nothing was credited into the account yesterday, checked online banking this morning and still nothing so I went down to the branch. The lady I saw at the counter today was quite apologetic and showed me the slip of paper (and my online banking screen) which shows the money having been credited funnily enough around the same time as I drove into town this morning, with a description of "apologies" on there.

The guy I saw yesterday was at another branch today so I still don't know why this happened, but she said when he's in tomorrow she'll get him to call me to explain apparently.

The person that took my deposit originally isn't someone that works at that branch as the lady I spoke to today said to me the only male that works there (on the counter) is the one I saw yesterday. Cover staff from another branch possibly? Who knows.

Thanks to everyone that gave constructive replies on my thread, much appreciated. :)

Don't some business accounts charge you for cash in/out? If thiw is the case with yours make sure they take it into account! When i was a cashier, reversals counted as cash in and out again, and businesses got charged for them.

I may tell you based on information given how I might approach an employment dispute case, but you should always seek advice from your own Union representative. If you don't have one, get one!

Maybe, but I'm still in my free business banking period so not getting charged for anything at the moment.

Even if I wasn't, they would certainly hear from me if they did try to charge me for their balls-up!
