Mobile data vs WAP over GPRS

What is the difference between mobile data and WAP over GPRS.

Looking at an iPhone with Tesco and the monthly payment gives you 1GB of mobile data but WAP over GPRS is charged at £4 per 1MB.

I've never spoken to anyone on ANY iPhone contract who has gone over their free allowance (other than abroad which I wouldn't be doing anyway). So I just wondered what this means?

Question doesn't make sense, sorry. WAP is mobile data. It's just the name of a particular way of it being packaged.

Maybe what they are saying is you get 1GB data, and if you go over 1GB then it costs £4/MB?
  • Thanks. That was my understanding too (that they are the same) hence I was puzzled. They just word it badly in the terms and conditions.
