Evening Everyone,
I am so pleased i joined this challenge. My Monthly spend was topping 360 pounds
have not done too badly so far with 1 week to go i have 32.82 to spend by the 31/1/2011 of my 160 budget, can not believe i have spent 50% less in this moth on food and managed to eat well
reading your posts every day, they help me to stick to my budget...
it is surprising how many things i do not put in my supermarket trolley when i think if i actually need to spend money on them and go over my budget. No more popping into shops just for the sake of it.
PLease can you put me down for 160 pounds for February (whole calendar month) and i would also like to be added to annual spend of 2500 (40 pounds a week and 420 on top is Xmas grocery, Magazines and little things we enjoy as a family). Thank you,

No spend day today. A lot of dog walking, and changed my library books. Pasta for dinner, chopped up onion, six brussel sprouts, one onion, cook in oil, add spices, lemon juice, etc. Cheap meal.I love skip diving.0

GQIf you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

Small spend of 0.79p today (sugar for my marmalade making! nom nom). Just sent OH to Mr T for a few bits we need. He will stick to the list (unlike me) so we should be OK for everything except milk and maybe some fresh fruit... mmmm... doable??? I think soPart time GCer, NSDer, Comper and (Bad)FlyladyA big shot is just a little shot that kept shooting ...0

Well, been a NSD for me. Quite surprised, as when something rubbish happens, I usually go and browse round the Sm to forget/make myself feel better, then end up spending loads and having nowhere to put it! Early days yet, but like giving up smoking, one day at a time!!!
Should be a NSD tom as well, as I'm off out for a quiz night with my work mates. It will cost £10 to enter, and there's no prize (other than pride!) but for that I get an evening's entertainment, hanging out with friends and a 2 course meal (always deeeelish). It won't come out of GC budget as it's from ents budget, so still under for now.
I bought 2 single pints of full fat milk yest with a good date on them. I have a spare 2 pint bottle, and put one of the pints in with a pint of water, mixed up and voila, semi skimmed for a fraction of the price! Got this tip from this forum last year, but had forgotten, so I thought I'd share it with the newbies. May make the end-of-the-month pennies streeeetch a bit further!
Thanks to all for good vibes being sent - I love this place, we're always here for each other.
PG xGrocery challenge for family of three - me, dd(12) and ds(11), feeding dp 2 or 3 x a week too. Only food, not toiletries. Jan £87.97/£100 Feb £0/£100
Frugal 2018 needed! Saving and NOT spending0 -
I'm still under last months budget - just - but I'm going to up my budget this month because it's been uncomfortably tight and I've used up a lot of stuff in my freezer and cupboards (which is good but I need to replace some of it). So £300 for me for February please.
I'm also keen to try Mothership's second purse idea.0
