I just checked my bm books and in the prima gluten free recipes it lists cider vinegar (if allowed) so it shouldn't be a problem if you leave it out. The panasonic gluten free recipes don't include vinegar.... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

Mothership -you are an inspiration! I love your purse/bank idea and will sit down and start planning mine-but where do you store all the stuff you buy-I have a very small house with no storage-though if I ever get round to listing stuff on ebay that might make room:)
Good luck with sorting out your life x
You can do it on a smaller scale then, maybe three months supply of items you use all the time, I've got stuff everywhere, like a wee hamsters cage with food hidden in every corner.1st Purse £114.19 Monthly GB:rotfl::j:wave::j:rotfl:

And possibly point people in the direction of MSE and let them discover it for themselves. I could not possibly write everything that is good about this site I'd need a weekly magazine LOL. This site is somewhere to go if you need help/support/encouragement, thats why we are all here. I am happy to share with everyone what I do to get by, all my tips, and there is lots of those still to come, lots of experience to share.
(For clarification when I saw owned by MSE, what I mean is I am aware that by writing something here I am making it freely available for them to use, and so effectively theirs (if they want it). If you did quote any tips here, I would expect you to ask the poster and/or MSE if that was o.k., and quote them as a source!).
Anyway all the best with the book/venture.....xErmutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

I Had started on a budget of £150 a month but have changed that to £135 a month but have a stock up budget per yr. of £180 that i can spend any time i see a good offer, if there is a good offer i normally stock up for the year, they are normally non food items...washing powder, softener, toothpaste...this is for 2 adults, my ds 3yrs , my sister who i have 2 nights a week and dh brothers who normally come over a few times a month for dinner. I dont really buy value items its normally all branded......most of my meat/veg/fruit comes from the local turkish shop it is always cheaper...i normally allocate £55 for my delivery of tescos at the beginning of the month, £30 for my first turkish weekly shop, £10 for my second, £15 for my third week and £25 for the last week. Have noticed shopping around normally helps with prices, home b@rgains are great if you have one near to you.......to be honest we eat quite well & i have no idea how much we used to spend before i started budgeting it must have been nearer the £300.00 mark but we would waste soooo much....
Yesterday i had a ready meal left in the fridge beef & mash that a family member had left because they didnt want it and we never eat them & they never look like enough for one person so i used the sauce put it in a pan added mushrooms from the freezer, carrott, half a pepper, half an onion, quartered and boiled 5 small potatoes added this, sliced up the beef a little more finely and added it the ate with some leftover rice and presto had a meal for 3 (me &ds snacked on the mash)SPC Member#1096 Target £150 Feb Count £82.18

Well it is the 24th & I have £7 left for the rest of the month. Freezer & cupboards still quite full but I will need more milk, fruit & veg on Friday. I think I will go slightly over but as I only gave myself a budget of £125 for the month ( 2 adults, dd1 - 7 & dd2 - 6)I am quite pleased.
Can you put me down for £175 in Feb as cupboards are still quite full but some things are starting to run out
