Been ever so good today back to work but not a penny went out my purse all-day. I was so tempted when we stopped for petrol at the co-op garage as they had some wonderful deals but no I resisted. Teas have been planned for the week and all going to plan my freezer is full and too be honest shouldn't need much to last the remainder of the month. I have a budget of £240 for 2 adults and 3 kids and 3 cats I was worried that I wouldn't be able to manage it but now optimistic I can.
Can anyone advise me how to reduce the cat food for the month down I used to spend 40 but now buying it off-line is £30 thing is my cats so fussy and only eat pouches in gravy and wont touch the cheap brands so I end up throwing them. i do buy dry biscuits as well and give them to them also but its all adding up I would like to buy tins as im sure this would work out cheaper but don't know so any thoughts appreciatedNew to comping 11/2/2013

Just changed sig to show that I spent £8.60 in T's today.
It was after I had to fork out £7.20 for some antibiotics and wanted to make sure I am loaded up with bio yoghurt to keep my bacteria levels up.
Cross that I missed the chance for a NSD.
Even crosser that I forgot to get something that I now need to get tomorrow!0 -

Used the last of Sundays Turkey in a curry for tea tonight and have just got some mince beef out of freezer for tomorrow. It will either be cottage pie & veg or meatballs and pasta - will decide in the morning.
Hope everyone is making some savings although with the way prices are rising its certainly getting harder to do.
Just watching this HFW programme on fish !!! - what a terrible waste. Disgraceful. How many of us would love a basket full of whats being thrown back. It all most makes you cry. (Hugh just said that with what he threw back he could feed over 2000 TWO THOUSAND people with !!!!!) OMG.
Certainly need changes in the fishing laws.MARCH £62.38/2500 -

My cat isn't fussy, but I didn't really want to be spending as much as I was on feeding her. What I do now, is give her mainly dry food, with just a little bit of wet food (from a tin) in the morning and evening, or sometimes just the evening if I forget! She takes about 2 1/2 to 3 days to go through a tin now, and she wastes a lot less, as she gets it in smaller quantities. Dry food is out all the time for her to graze on as she gets hungry.

GRRR at myself - spent £51 in Asda tonight, having said that I wasn't even going to go! Missed my exercise class, and thought I'd pop in to fill the time. WHY?!! I should've just come home!! I'm such a muppet. Sig updated, and did get a lot of whoopsies. Going to work out the true cost, had it not all been whoopsied or on offer. Think that'll make me feel better!Grocery challenge for family of three - me, dd(12) and ds(11), feeding dp 2 or 3 x a week too. Only food, not toiletries. Jan £87.97/£100 Feb £0/£100
