Placed my first online order with Tesco
3 Blue dragon black Bean Sauce
2 Hovis Strong Bread Flour
4 Lurpack Butter
6 1Ltr Sunflower Oil
10 packs of 8 Kitchen Towels
10 KG Laila Basmati Rice
1 Preserved Lemons
2 Whitworths Soft Dates
2 Cottage Cheese with pineapple
1 Market Value Eggs
1 Free Range Eggs
Total Spend £59.97
I'm stocking up on Rice/Oil/ Flour etc. The prices of these items are going to increase this year due to freak weather conditions worldwide. So they tell us.
The Kitchen towels... 80 of them??? @ £2 for 8 that will do me about a year. I use about 1 1/2 per week.
Morrisons have 2 litre Bottles of Robinsons juice for £1 got 5 of those.
My planc (Cast Iron Griddle) arrived yesterday. I'm going to make some Welsh cakes this morning. And a few variations. If I come up with anything worthwhile I'll post the recipes.
Gradually eating our way through the freezer stock, king ribs with egg fried rice yesterday,Tonight breaded chicken and thighs, with the leftover rice, spicy potatoes and Broccoli with cheese sauce (made a little extra when I made Lasagna the other day).
We will be eating out of the freezer for the remainder of the month. Making space for all the new deals from M+S (taking full advantage of the £5 off £25 spend.)

I was so tempted when we stopped for petrol at the co-op garage as they had some wonderful deals but no I resisted. Teas have been planned for the week and all going to plan my freezer is full and too be honest shouldn't need much to last the remainder of the month. I have a budget of £240 for 2 adults and 3 kids and 3 cats I was worried that I wouldn't be able to manage it but now optimistic I can.
Can anyone advise me how to reduce the cat food for the month down I used to spend 40 but now buying it off-line is £30 thing is my cats so fussy and only eat pouches in gravy and wont touch the cheap brands so I end up throwing them. i do buy dry biscuits as well and give them to them also but its all adding up I would like to buy tins as im sure this would work out cheaper but don't know so any thoughts appreciated
I own 3 hungry monsters and am continually trawling the internet for deals. The cheapest way is to buy tins which are 410gms which is equivalent to 4 pouches. I find that Pets @ hm do good deals. They have on Felix 24 x tins, £10 each. With regard to dry food I mix a cheap variety with a good one and they eat the lot. A good trick is to put some treats in there too. I buy the expensive biscuits when on offer somewhere, any of the supermarkets or pets @ hm, then use own brand cheap ones for mixing.
Hope this helps.

Morning Peeps
just popped by after updating my siggy, only another 9 days left to go in my January challenge as payday is on the 21st :j
I`ve been a bit naughty as i wanted to stock up on the loo roll offer in MrM and bought two packs of the puppy loo roll to save and i was going to put this on next months spends - however i had a bit left in the pet food budget that i won`t need so i`ve taken it off there instead. This way my spends for the month will still be ok and i`ll have nothing to add on from Feb.
Looking at My MrM receipt and they have started to do a new type. The Vat items are no longer marked and now the total vat is added at the bottom, this means that the vatable products arn`t marked seperately anymore  there used to be a letter - either an A or a D next to all products on the receipt one meant no vat and the other meant the charge so i`m not a very happy bunny now. Has anyone elses store moved to the new type yet?
My Ald! receipt is still "old style" and i much prefer it as i can get used to the taxable items and stop buying them unless i`m desperate.
Happycrafter - Thanks very much for the spreadsheet, i shall have fun playing around with it
Actually i may make a list of the taxable items from each sm and try to avoid most of them if poss.
Have a good day peeps.

I've got my approved foods order & I was so excited:jit is like my revenge against the world conspiring to keep me in debt. We now have enough pasta, rice, couscous to last 3 months plus tons of extra stuff plus coffee beans for a whole year. Coffee beans are our luxury item on our food list each week, we have been paying £3 for our cheapest in our supermarket so I was over the moon to see them for 75p on AP. Now we can afford our little luxury and stay frugal. The bulk buys will take me over this month I think but over the 12 months will even out. I have my little book I am recording everything in and I am going to adopt the 'shop a day later' idea. I have got redeem on Bingoport too. I have yet to work out the signature thing but that is next. Today's meal is
salmon with asparagus & breadcrumb crust
coucous with peppers & spring onion
tomato scones
and mincemeat buns (from leftover cmas mincemeat) for pud. yummy. I am working on doing one small thing each day then I can achieve this huge life change and one day this year I will have no debts at all.:TFrugal Challenge £9000
