How long is it taking to get LPG delivered ?

Thought it would be interesting to start a thread about the time it takes to get a delivery and indeed the delivery policies of the different LPG providers.
At present Countrywide are taking three weeks to deliver which is fine if you order with plenty in the tank.
A neighbour who is with Calor phoned for a delivery and they said they would not accept her request until there was only 18% in the tank. That's very low with the freezing weather we've been having, but do they deliver in just a few days ?
So how are the rest of you getting on ?

We are with BP. We were due a delivery on the 24th December, this did not materialise nor any contact to say why or when it would be re-scheduled. Our tank had been fitted with a smart meter this year as we were a good customer(ie used a lot of gas). I knew we must be quite low as on previous usage I knew we were well due for a fill up.
We ran out of gas on the 27th. I rang and left a message and sent an e-mail. The automated reply said I would be contacted within a day and that I could check the website to check on our delivery. I checked the website which just told me I was not scheduled for a delivery the next day. I have rung and e-mailed every day since each time getting an automated message saying I would be contacted but they were too busy to answer the phone personally.
Today I finally got to speak to someone having held for 45 mins on their premium number to be told "All I can tell you is you are not down for delivery tomorrow". She could not give me any idea when we would be delivered to or as to why I was not told we would not be receiving our advised delivery.
Still waiting, no heating and we can't cook. BP's customer service is atrocious and having looked at a previous forum exactly the same was happening to people last year.:mad:0 -
Well Mahalah, I was thinking of having the equivalent of a 'smart meter' fitted but think I'll feel better just checking the tank.
Unfortunately , judging by some of the other posts I've read re: lpg, you are not alone in running out of gas. Can not be good for business if the gas companies keep allowing this to happen. With a smart meter fitted too I think it is dreadful that you've run out gas.
Hope you get a delivery soon.0 -
