Rent cheque for £336.30 received from the students today, and £10 from another games offer.

I wondered what other people are doing, I am planning to transfer each month's total amount into a separate savings account, so that this extra money will accumulate and not get swallowed up or frittered away. The idea being that we budget for all outgoings just from our normal wage incomes.

I think I will also include amounts if I am under budget on groceries for the month for example. Will also be including the next 2 months council tax and water payments which don't go out.

So far, so good, hope everyone's doing ok x :)

Please add me to the list..I admit that I have been lax lately and have hardly visited the forum but things are changing.

I have made some money but not a great deal but I am getting there.

Not sure if you have heard of surveynetwork? I was invited to do their surveys the other day and it appears they pay 75p for each survey and sometimes more - all this money goes into an account and you can withdraw it to your paypal account. https://www.surveynetwork.co.uk - the only thing I don't like about them is the amount of surveys they send - several a day and to be honest I just don't have time to complete them all.

I had students throughout the summer and so I rang up the 5 different companies we're with and none of them have any available until april time...but town is overrun with Japanese students..hmm...Try harder I reckon! We're down as 'executive homestay' as the students will have a en suite so the have to pay us more. Think I might suggest taking students at the standard rate, just annoys me that they say they dont have any at all when the town centre is telling me a different story! (im in Torquay so pretty dead this time of year!)

We had a similar thing happen a few years ago and turned out that the student campus was 'putting up' all the students themselves, as it wanted to earn extra money. That didn't work though because the students wanted to stay with families to help with learning of the language and British culture!

I love having students, not just for the added income but they have all been lovely :D

    Evening all :hello:

I've not made much progress this week aside from the odd survey but they're not ready to pay out yet.

Just thought I'd drop in and say HI :)

    xx
