  • i think they should stop selling them in nike stores and start selling them online. that way it will be fair and it will stop people getting ripped off on ebay.

I think everyone should stop clamouring and paying silly money for the latest stupid fashion wristband, which has nothing to do with charity, and then there'll be no market for them, and anyone who wants one can have them.

    Hi,
I am a store manager for J.J.B and can assure you that the staff in my store are restricted to two bands each, the same as all of our customers.
I am getting 100's of phone calls a day for these bands.
If you feel that angry about this then Email me the store in question and i will contact my head office to put a stop to it. If you are not prepared to do this then you can't complain. NIKE state that they have asked for a minimum donation of 1.50 to support this cause, and we have been instructed to sell for this price as our head office have already made their payment to NIKE. If a customer buys two bands from us for £3.00 then leaves the store it is out of our hands what they then do with them. If people are prepared to pay stupid amounts then there will always be people selling them for more than what they paid.
I agree it is a very difficult thing to manage and is moving away from what the whole thing is about, but also it is creating a massive awareness wether that be in a good way or a bad way.
Nike could have raised a lot more for this cause had they made the bands more widely available.

I am nice chap from En-ger-land. I need 100 wristbands to sell on EBay. Can anybody help me out??? :D

    Seriously:

How can people be getting ripped off on EBay? It's not as if anyone's forcing them to part with their money!

£1.50, £5.00, £8.00, £20.00, in 3 months time no-one will care and it's onto something else to 'raise money for charity'.

I went into Footlocker in Bristol today, no bands left at all in Bristol the only place you'll get them is Ebay he said, I just laughed indignantly and left. It made me wonder if they bought them and sold on Ebay too.

    Scandalous!

Is it not possible that there could be a very high demand for these and that is why they have sold out.
I had 100 for sale at 10.00 am Monday morning. I turned up for work at 9.00 to find a que of 40+ outside, they were all sold by 10.15. If Nike set the price at £5 for these and made them available from all the main retail outlets, not only would it raise more for the charity, it would also stop people from cashing in on a personal level.
