Asda contact details?

I am going berserk with frustration trying to find a way to contact Asda customer services (home delivery, entertainment department). Does anyone have any experience of this, or any suggestions?
I ordered a computer game online and received an email on December 9th telling me it had been despatched. It still hasn't arrived. There is a contact link in the email which leads to a series of questions about why you are daring to wish to contact them, before it eventually agrees that yes, you do need to contact customer services - but does not give an email address or phone number for you to do so! There is a phone number at the bottom of the page (not too noticeable though, they don't want to risk someone actually contacting them!) which I have rung several times (08453663977). This also leads to a series of questions before eventually promising to transfer you to customer services before cutting you off. It did this twice, and then the third time I chose the option for placing an order, thinking that would be more likely to be answered, but that cut me off too!
I will never order from Asda again. It's not so much that they haven't delivered my item in time for Christmas - I also have an order missing from Play.com, but at least they have an easy way to report this!

Sorry, I copied the number wrong in my post above, that is the number I've been trying to ring that just cuts off.
But thanks anyway - I'll try it again tomorrow. What I'd really like is a customer services email address, one that others have used and from which they've had a response.0 -
I phoned customer service on that number before xmas to complain I never got some Thomas the tank dvds and got repetedly cut off too tried pressing 0 but that didn't work but i did get through on the place a order option and told them there phone line was crap.
Anyway theey gave me a full refund and low and behold they arrived a week later. Have tried phoning them again and keep getting cut off! so sod them! there customers service stinks!! as does there delivery of goods mine was supposed to arrive the begining of Dec and arrived xmas eve.:beer:0 -
Asda phone number is freephone, (from a landline), 0500 100055.

Update: I have today managed (after one failed attempt when I was suddenly cut off mid conversation - sort out your phone lines Asda!) to get through to a person.
The lady I spoke to is going to send me a self declaration form so they can sort out a replacement or refund. This won't address the fact that my son went without one of his Christmas presents of course - some form of recompense for this would be nice, even in the form of vouchers, but I won't hold my breath. I get the distinct feeling that Asda doesn't really care about its customers.0 -

Ahh there it is. .COMPO!!
To be fair - mistakes happen and its not their fault that your son went without a present - why did you not go buy it from somewhere else rather then online when you were having no luck with them?
Yes the CS was terrible but you'll probably get an e-voucher.. Id sue them though if i were you. A ruined christmas easily deserves a million pounds in compo"If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0 -

Unnecessary sarcasm in my opinion.
Mistakes happen in life, of course, but when a 'reputable' company like Asda takes your money you do kind of expect them to uphold their side of the deal. I won't make that mistake again though.
Why would I buy it from somewhere else when I'd been advised it was despatched? I don't want to buy it twice!0 -
6 posts in and we get to the compo, surprised it took that longhelpful tips
it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
their - 'owned by them'
they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)0 -

omg your son went without 1 of his presents and that warrants compo of some sorts,0 -
Jeez, what is wrong with some people on here?
I never said I was chasing for compensation, I never asked for any when I rang customer services and I don't intend to. I simply stated that it would have been nice if Asda offered something as a form of apology for their !!!! up - a token of good will, if you like.
Anyway, what would be so wrong with expecting recompense in this sort of situation? They took my money and have had it for 20 days and counting. If I borrowed money from a bank I would have to pay interest on it, why should Asda be able to effectively borrow interest free from me?0
