Hi all
Would it be ok if I joined in? I had my first xmas making any homemade gifts this year , and can understand the concerns about receivers. I got lovely feedback from some but to be honest got the impression from others that they thought I was being cheap!! I just decided to pick more carefully who I make for next year.
My sister and my mum loved the baileys fudge and truffles, and MIL loved the quilt I made her. The chutneys didnt fair so well but I think I made a mistake by giving pots out to test in September so they may have been chutneyed out lol
Am planning patchwork cushions, quilts, lavender bags, sock monkeys and more food gifts next year - oooh and flavoured vodka, but need to start early this time as christmas eve was a big rush this year.
Looking forward to seeing everyones makes

Room for one more?
I'm not all that good at craft stuff, but i am wanting to make a start on stuff ready for next year.
I do have some ideas, which include
Pamper hamper for my mum, this will go with the marks and spencers vouchers i have got her, which cost me nothing as they were from introducing people to Sky.
16 year old brother has just a scooter for his birthday and is a complete fussy get, so no idea for him, but want some sort of hamper type thing?
10 will be 11 year old brother loves anything science related so will make him a science hamper.
My three sons, i would love to make them a quilt, but sewing of any type is not my strong point. I will be having a go at the jelly babies soaps that i saw someone previously post as they look amazing!
I managed to master toffee this year lol, so would like to try and master more sweet stuff to give as gifts.0 -

Oh I am exactly the same. Only my special peeps get homemade now... little do they realise the time and effort that goes into making these things.:staradminHuuuuuuge thank you hugs to all posters:staradmin0 -
Hi Everybody!
Please can I join? I was looking at the threads last year, but didn't really get involved. Made the usual bits, flannel reindeer, snowman soups, but I did do some baking which I'd never made as pressies. Also I made lots of cards and a couple of gift vouchers for my mum and Grandma. I hope to put pictures onto my blog in the next few days
I treated myself to a sewing machine with some money I got for Christmas, so I need a couple of project (simple) if anyone has any ideas? I'm quite liking the sock monkeys but am unsure if they would be easy on a machine? I don't want to stitch my fingers by mistake
Looking forward to another good crafting year in 2011.

I've finally been able to leave the house, and have bought my cards for next year. And all the paper (10 rolls for £1)
Sock monkeys might be a good way of 'breaking in' -not literally! - your sewing machine Little_Miss_M. I had to hand sew mine (and I'll confess my monkey was a mess, the sock monster were a lot better, I used those socks with toes as a mohawk hairdo, and just sewed on the arms..)
Here is a tutorrial I found for sock frogs... http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=me24qvs398mpbsr562ecalh4q6&topic=350856.0
Hope we get a few photos of peoples crafts.. i'm still working out how to do it!
15 crafts for 2015 challenge.
