Oh yeah been my mums and she said I can keep her sewing machine for as long as ,as long as she can borrow it when she needs it.She means its annoying her and in her way ,haha. Its a Toyota spb15,Is that good ,bad or ugly?lol.I know how to use it as have before. And she gave me loads of material too.Whoop.
Might as well give his lord Mardy ar** something to moan about properly hehe.
Just cant wait for my interface now and I can make a couple of needle rolls.etc.
Cant really concentrate today.Kids back at school but had to do stuff I dont do with them around like food shop.
Few hours without them shouting has spoilt me.Their screeching is driving me bonkers.

    Hi all :j
Love the owl.............must have a go at one of those especially as you can do it by hand. My friend loves them and I could do her a doorstop for her birthday (not till November so I've got time.........lol)

qwiksave - love how you've done the boxes..........only ever done a version of retro sweet boxes with them before.

Nothing done today............back really playing up and went to gp..........''is it there?'' says he sending me through the ceiling:eek: Case of keep taking the tablets I think ............so our lad and his mate set to and took decorations down. Cleaner coming tomorrow to clear up the mess then hopefully we'll get back to normal:)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

It started so well.... and then all went so wrong :D

This is my first Christmas decoration for 2011 (well it was going to be part of a housewarming present - oops)

Can you tell what it is?!!

Probably not :rotfl:My other half gave up guessing in the end. It's a chicken - which looks like a dinasour (and not even a very good dinasour)!!! If you want to see how I made such a delightful item - full instructions are on my blog

Might see how I go with butchering an Owl later on... Surely I can only get better :)

I'm very jealous! :rotfl: I would LOVE a sewing machine, especially one that didn't cost a fortune! My mum used to be a factory seamstress and had a home sewing machine when I was little. She got rid of it about 20 years ago :( I wish she'd teach me but we live about 1hr apart.

I so know what you mean about time alone spoiling you and the kids driving you bonkers! I have that too, even more so when DD is being really naughty, which was almost all the time before Christmas.

Mary-op: That sounds horrible! I hope you're ok. Sending hugs x

Well I had worked out it was a bird before I saw what you'd written!! There is plenty of hope left! :D It looks similar to the doves they made in the second issue of the Making Crafts magazine from last year.
    Engaged since 25/12/2009

Well I was engaged. Until we separated on 8th March :( Here's hoping that having a break will help us solve all our problems. Until then I'm a single mum on a tight budget :(

better life - a crayon roll type thing sounds good, but I don't have any material to use so I'll have to think about it.

Young old lady - thanks for that, it wouldn't have occured to me to use anything other than a box!!!

Quiksave - thats exactly the thing I'm talking about. There's me thinking I had an original idea. I could also use toys etc. I'm thinking of decorating the boxes, but I need to get some inspiration.

Tea towels are a cheap source of fabric ;)

Excellent it has a name  I knew there was something special about him ;)

Mary-op I think he's beyond repair - however may make a good pin cushion. Don't worry I won't give up - however I'm sure there will be many more bizarre blunders. Maybe I could be a surrealist sewer, that way really it's all just art :T

    Youngoldlady - I love you :D
