Birthday Party ideas for a 10 year old girl?

Hi,
Was wondering if the MSEers on here could help me plan a birthday party for my Daughter who will be 10 in January.
We usually have a sleepover which is very ms but this year she has said she wants to do something else. We dont really want to spend more than £50 and would like it for four girls, including herself.
In the past we have been to the zoo and then a restaurant, been to cinema and bowling and had sleepovers.
She would like to go to teddy bear factory with 3 friends and them all get a bear and then some lunch and then another activity but this would be too costly.
I know I have seen some super ideas from members of the board in the past. We are all for throwing ourselves in for a good idea but my mind is blank.
Any ideas?
TIA

My 10yo (boy) loves ice skating, swimming, milkshake bars, pizza hut.
When he was 10 there was an under 21 England football match playing at our local stadium. Hubby took him plus 4 friends. I bought a kfc bucket for them to eat at our house before going plus a football themed cake for them to have with a goody bag after the match. I realise your child is a girl so may not be the slightest bit interested in footie, but maybe there is something similar you could do?
What end of jan is her birthday? If it's early are they too old for any pantos still running? Or any other theatre experience? Kid based ones usually have cheaper tickets-though may not if you live in an expensive part of the country/large city.0 -
Can you or do you have any friends who are good with hair and nails? The girls could come round for a 'makeover' party and have their hair put up / adorned with some cheap hair bits (must be lots of sparkly hair bits on offer post Xmas) and their nails painted. They could all bring a couple of changes of clothes, put a sheet up against a wall in your living room / bedroom and take some digital photos that you could print out and they could take home (or get printed cheaply online and let them have at a later date).
And then in keeping with the 'young ladies' they have been transformed into they could have 'afternoon tea' of tiny sandwiches, cakes and biscuits. Did something similar for DD2 a few years back and they loved it0 -

I was coming to say this. at work we do pamper parties where they have their nails painted, make and hair done and photos taken.
You could do it all yourself, tell them to being a few changes of clothes, do their hair etc then do a fashion shoot if you have a camera.Shut up woman get on my horse!!!0 -
They are all fab ideas.
I had suggested a pamper party as many of my friends could do different stations of hair, nails, tattoos etc. but she wasn't that interested - the photo shoot element and afternoon tea really change it though so shall see what she says.
Shes loves football but not sure of her friends, shall have a look at fixtures - thanks.

What about buying some craft kits to do at home. You can buy kits with fur fabric, stuffing etc., in to make bears, or jewellery or something else.
Is anyone any good at baking? Make loads of cup cakes and give them icing and decorations, and they can all take a couple home.
Or give them a pizza base and loads of toppings and they can make their own pizzas and watch a film or something. Here I go again on my own....0 -
Craft night. There are loads of internet shops which do eg jewelery kits to make earrings/ necklaces etc which was one popular activity or blank masks/jewellery boxes with sequins etc to decorate. The jewellery takes a bit of supervision but was very popular.
Traditional party games ... need about six to make it work..... eg make an outfit out of bin bags ... best gets a prize. Squeak piggy squeak ... one person is it all others hidden under blankets and guesser has to guess who they are by their "squeak". Mummy race... need alot of loo roll ,have to wrap one member of the team in loo roll entirely so nothing shows in shortest time. Balloon race etc.... normally some good books in library for these ideas.
If weather not too bad treasure hunt following preplanted clues and chocolate coins or bars around and about nearby streets. Very good if you have a dog who can "help you" and people take turns holding dog ... many kids just excited at having dog to hold. At the end we normally string a home made pinata on a tree (papier mache around several balloons , burst balloons after, saw out flap and fill with sweets etc) and get them to burst it. This is in October.
There are many cheaper craft options available over the internet for making eg peg dolls, rag dolls etc
Birthday tea of course could be shop bought pizza bases and then everyone decorates their own pizza with tomatoes etc to their own satisfaction , and cup cakes with plenty of glitter , balls , icing for everyone to decorate. If you can borrow a laminator then everyone can draw the outline of a plate on a4 paper then draw on their favourite birthday tea, laminate and everyone has their own personalised place mat for tea and to take home.0 -
The own brand bear factory clothes that only Argos sells are 1/2 price at the moment. Ive just checked and there called design a bear. I got DD them for Christmas and they fit build a bear and the bear factory teddies great. Just thought id mention it incase you were wondering what gifts maybe to buy herMad Mum to 3 wonderful children, 2 foster kittens and 2 big fat cats that never made it to a new home!
Aiming to loose 56 pounds this year. Total to date 44.5 pounds 12.5 to go. Slimming World Rocks!0 -
I think build a bear parties are pretty costly. My daughter is attending one next week and i'm having to send her with 20 quid to spend on a bear outfit! I don't want her having less than others going so have checked the website and added up the most expensive outfit/dress which is 13 pounds and shoes at 5.00:eek:
Make over parties sound fab for little girls, you can do them from home and not too expensive.0 -
you can buy the bear skins on ebay. i did this a couple of years ago, bought the skins and stuffing on ebay. you can also buy clothes pretty cheaply. we sat them at the table, put loads of stuffing on the table, then when the bears were stuffed they made birth certificates and decorated t shirts for them. then they had party food and chocolate fountain!0
