P.S how does the winner get decided? who decideds - is it Martin or the mods or who?
The final decision is based on several points, not just the number of nominations made. The final decision is made by Martin and the members of the Moneysaving team.

I would like to nominate Mortgage Mama for the kind and generous offer she made to someone new to the boards and clearly in a lot of trouble. An offe rlike this, and the general support offered to this lady restores your faith in human nature.

    I'd nominate MortgageMamma too.

The poster concerned was in deep doo-doo, her husband leaving her after assaulting her and her mortgage co being totally unsympathetic to the fact he wasn't going to pay their mortgage later this week. MM offered, as a broker, without any strings to approach the lender to see if she could get them to help.

May not get get anyone a few p off a tin of beans - but said more about some of the folks who inhabit these boards than moneysaving ever can.

That said, I haven't read all the other nominations, so I'll leave it for others to decide.

As we are mainly on this site for advice on MONEY MATTERS,I wonder if Martin would give the winner of the post of the month a money makeover ,who knows but the makeover might actually save them alot more the £50 on offer . What does other users think
