  • Decorate the glass jars with glass paint and use for holding pens or something. :)

Depending on the size you could make mini gift hampers...

For men: Pair of Socks, Key ring, Miniatures, chocolates, gift voucher.
For women: Chocolate, Chocolate Chocolate (Oops thats just me!!:rotfl: )
For women: Scented Candle/Tealight, Chocolate, Face Pack, Lip gloss, gift voucher.

My wife uses all our jars for homemade jam.... I know it's probably not what you'd give for Xmas, but it is a suggestion...

If your giving it to someone "young" you can put a few coppers in there, and than say to them to put thier pennies in there and make a wish. (Great way to get them to save)

Oh that lemon curd looks really easy...thanks everyone.

By the way...do you need to sterilise the jars? How? Sorry for all the questions xxx

  • I wash mine in hot soapy water, rinse, then bung them in a warm oven. So far no probs ;)
  • One year I hand painted glass jars ...wrote the persons name on the jar in Tulip paint and filled the jars with bubble bath and tied a ribbon round them. They looked lovely. I did not wrap them in paper - I bought Christmas fabric and made fabric bags that were tied with ribbon as well ...my goodness...I must have had so much time pre children!!
I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes ;)
