my 'crime' was to overstay 24mins in a max.2hr park; my fault, my responsiblity. but a £70 'fine' got me seriously p***** off.

So as a law abiding, responsible, "my fault" citizen did you make any attempt to ameliorate the guilt or just duck and cover?A stitch in time means you can't afford a new one.0 -
Belated hapy christmas.
A little tale.
i was in morrisons not so long before christmas and all teh P&D machines were out - no idea why they have them as you claim it back - but as they were out and i was walking back from the furthest one people were asking so i said 'All broke ,Dont pay I checked.'
But we may get a ticket they said.
Well if you do dont pay it and started having a conversation with about 8 of them about this to when a car park man walked over and said as the machines were out then he wouldnt ticket. We got to talking about the tickets and he said he wouldnt issue one for the day as their fault but he did say he had to issue them even though he knew they were unenforceable but its what he had to do as thats his job. then he smiled and walked away..
Pay for your parking but dont have a go at them i say"If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0 -

How do you ameliorate your guilt in a free car park? Pay the penalty? You jest of course.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Come on, Laurel and Hardy were funny, that's why I rename them Terry and June.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Well I put on my Hi Viz parked my white van, put on the hazard flashers and delivered the parcel, if a ppc wants to argue the toss I will see them in court, as it can be argued there is an implied licence for delivery drivers and posties to access properties, even on areas controlled by a ppc if there is no loading bay, and the van is not causing an obstruction.0
