Did anyone use this to cancel their contract? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
That is old news. At least start something original and up to date to start the New Year.
Both the subject of the 500mb fair usage policy and the 6 billion tax avoidance which never was has been covered in depth on MSE and other forums.0 -
hell no! Vodafone with me have been top notch so far! Apart from the recommend a friend issue no probs whatsoever, left o2 after 5 years gaining only rubbish discounts!0

Yes come on guys lets keep it up to date. Lets start with Vodafone cutting back the data allowance for PAYG customers but charging the same. Vodafone still providing poor 3G coverage when most other networks have expanded theirs. Vodafones online billing system running about 72 hours behind real time. Other networks manage real time use. No way of keeping a check on your data allowance.
Yes the FUP may be old but their are SO MANY reason why Vodafone are the worst network in the UK.0 -
T-Mobile misled a huge proportion of their non-PAYG customers a few years ago, when they suddenly added £1/month charge for paper billing. Customers had the opportunity to cancel their contract and keep their subsidised phone, but T-Mobile staff repeatedly lied to me and other customers. When I said I was no longer willing to discuss the issue and would see them in court unless they would reduce my line rental by double the fee increase or cancel the contract (as per the terms of the contract!), they verbally abused me and refused to honour their own terms! Eventually they caved in and reduced my line rental, but I certainly don't expect any company to treat their customers with such contempt.
At the end of the year when I said I would cancel the contract, they asked why, so I told them this was because they had deceived their customers and I was unwilling to deal with a company as dishonest as T-Mobile, I again got an earful of abuse. Absolutely shocking!
Over the years, I've had a few problems with Virgin (who resolved them immediately when I spoke to a supervisor/manager) and O2 (who were a bit useless and took about 30 calls to resolve, but they did eventually fix the problem. Both were courteous throughout. Vodafone are the only mobile operator I've never had any problems with!0 -
I have previously been on 3. Signal going from full to nothing and back and down in many different (geographically) locations. Phone up and get someone who can barely speak English reading from a computer script. "you should have good signal you need to try sim in another phone" aye anything to get you off the phone. Unlucky because girlfriend also has 3 and the same problem I could give their attempted brush off the brush off.
To be honest Vodafone signal is more stable, more reliable and better coverage.
I'd say 3 are a load more rubbish than Vodafone!If I had a pound for every pound I'd lost, I'd be confused0 -
When I renewed my Vodafone contract in June I was given unlimited internet, nothing was mentioned about a fair usage policy. Perhaps I should use more and more internet so I can get out of it!!!
Incidentally I can't really fault Vodafone and have been with them for years. What I will say though is they would only offer me a 24 month contract despite being told by rep on here that I could have a 12 month one! I have family abroad so when I am away their 75p overseas cost is well used and saves me quite a bit of money.0 -
bitterwallet who?
There are likely to be thousands of worse companies than Vodafone.
I never had any big gripes with them when I used them .0 -
I found them dreadful in 2009 but so far in 2010 not so bad. I swore I would never go back to them and have. Like most things though (and I hear with Natwest) you often have no problems unless you have to contact them...0
