I was wondering what global unlock was, as i have ordered a wii for my son and dont't know much about them.

i thought the wii was coming as a no region unit? so no unlocks required, thought that was part of the marketing pitch?.

That's what we all thought but Nintendo went with region locking in the end. It's a shame because it encourages people like us to mod the console, and as mods get more widespread so does piracy.

I've just pre-ordered a Wii from gamestation.

Anyone got any alternative methods to the trade in thing? I'd be interested in finding any discount vouchers and so forth.
