How to hang a 9kg mirror?

Hiya,
My wife's got a large (70 x 110cm) mirror that she's had propped up against a wall for years. It's about time I hung it properly, so am wondering what the best way to do this is?
It hasn't got any fixtures with it to use, so I'm wondering what I need to buy? The mirror weighs just under 9kg and will be attached to a brick wall.
Thanks
Pete

You need some things called "mirror plates", Google them. You can get 1 and 2 piece plates (so you easily hang/un-hang the mirror) The 2 piece ones have one part you fix to the wall and another you fix to the mirror, they slide over each other when hanging and the weight of the mirror holds it to the wall.0

Buy them at any glaziers , they will tell you how many you need.0

Thanks guys, it looks like these are probably my best bet - any ideas how many I would need for a 9kg mirror?

Mine mirror is slightly smaller 60 x 90 ( have never weighed it ) but as its got a triple bevel , should imagine its fairly thick? Has your mirror a frame / back? mine is just a large piece of mirrored glass.
Because if it like mine ,your fixings are wrong . Go to a glaziers, I used six pieces .But ask.0 -
Mine's got a big thick wooden frame, so those fixings should be OK.0

Yes , you are not hanging a mirror but a frame , your choice is fine.any ideas how many I would need for a 9kg mirror?0

Thanks guys, the problem I'm having now is finding screws that will work. The problem is that for the flush plates to mount each other, the screw head needs to drop pretty much fully into the countersuck part of the mount. See image below:
The screw on the left fits OK but is only 15mm long which doesn't seem nearly long enough to screw into either the frame or the wall!
I've been trying to find something suitable on the Screwfix website, but I'm getting lost among all the choices - any suggestions?
Thanks

Thats the trouble with places like screwfix , wonderful if you know what you want , but searching for a 'thingbob/ watchya my call it, never returns the correct item. Walk round a B&Q you would find it with no problems....0

1&1/2" size 8 screws in a red rawlplug properly shanked in a decent brick wall will be more than good enough for 9kg, the problem is we dont know how good your "brick" wall is,
is it thermalite or similar, is it breeze block or engineering brick.?
a size 8 1&1/2" screw in proper brick will hold almost 1 metric tonne,
but we know this never happens in the real world, its all down to the type of brick you are going into as to how long and coarse a screw you will need, looks like those brackets of yours are made for #6 screws.0
