Someone on here did say if it was a bank holiday ANYWHERE in the UK all benefit payments are done early (I suppose it's simpler than looking at all the addresses and bank details)0

I read that somewhere too. I followed a link to the HMRC website and it said that if theres a bank holiday ANYWHERE in the UK (England, Northern Ireland, Wales or Scotland), all benefits should be paid a few days earlier regardless of where the bank holiday actually is. So do you think my partners DLA will be in on the 31st (its a bank hol in Scotland on 4th when his DLA is due)???? Be kind of nice if it is but then again, i hope it goes in as normal!!! Tried to find answers to this question in another thread but people are either very rude or dont know either!Someone on here did say if it was a bank holiday ANYWHERE in the UK all benefit payments are done early (I suppose it's simpler than looking at all the addresses and bank details)0 -
If it's due on the 4th January it won't go in until that day. No DWP benefits are paid earlier than the 4th if due that day. That also applies to Scotland, despite it being a public holiday. HMRC tax credits due on the 4th January will be paid on December 31.murtle1981 wrote: »I read that somewhere too. My WTC that were due to be paid tomorrow have gone in today.0

Can I just ask a silly question? If your tax credits get paid early does that mean you get them four weeks from the date they are actually paid? Or four weeks from the date from when they should have been paid?
I got tax credits on 24th Dec, so will my next payment be on 20th Jan? Trying to sort out my January finances.0 -
