Tax credits for 30th Dec in account today

Options
My tax credits were next due to be paid on 30th December however i have just checked my bank and they are there already .

The date beside them for online banking says 30th December so i know its not one of these extra payments which have been discussed on the board .

On direct gov website it states that payments due on 30th will be paid as normal on the 30th but its defo in my account now !

Just thought that maybe some other posters may be sitting a bit short of cash without realising that their tax credits due on Thurs are already in their account !

Its worth checking.

I think all these extra bank holidays etc has caused the banks to do funny things, all my bills have been taken out on the 25th but next to the direct debit list it says 29th so they've taken the money early!

my child tax was showing in my account on xmas day but not due until 30th
  • The only downside about recieving the tax credits 3 days early is that its now 10 days until my next payment is due lol.

10 days in Jan is a very long time :rotfl:

My child tax was due tomorrow(29th) and should have stayed the same as it is not a bank holiday in England tomorrow (its bank hol in Northern Ireland) but it went in my account on Christmas Eve. Found it a bit strange considering that i rang HMRC a few days before Christmas to ask about payments and they said it would stay the same due to it not being a bank holiday on 29th!! When it went in my account on 24th, i rang them again and they siad it was something to do with my bank????Im with the Halifax. So now im wondering if my partners DLA will be in on Friday 31st as its due next Tuesday (4th) but it isnt a bank hol in England next Tuesday!!! It is quite confusing....any ideas anyone?
