Facebook Message

Yesterday a facebook friend sent me a message through facebook with a doggy link to a photo attached,
I replied to the sender saying I don't know what he is talking about.
Today I find the link has been sent to some but not all my facebook friends.
I have done a virus scan and so far found nothing.

Can someone please tell me what is happening and do I have to do anything?

    OK was the message sent from you to these "some friends"?

    If it wasn't sent to all, are you sure they didn't get it from a mutual friend?

    No - it did come from me because they are in my sent box

    had the same thing - when i opened the notification came up with warning regarding a phising email or something like that so just closed it!

    This makes sense - when an email is sent to a group on FB you cannot reply solely to the OP, it will go to everyone who received the original message. A virus would send it to everyone, not just certain people.
    Gone ... or have I?

    This message did only come from one person it did not appear to of gone to my friends previously.

    Shouldnt leave anything on your computer unless you opened a linked to another site or did a download.

    I did click on it but it would'nt open
