    Morning all.
I'm afraid I'm something of a slow starter today. But I still feel I'm on holiday. Well I still am!
I've also got on the list to go into town and sort my ISA out and other accounts. Getting control of the paperwork is going to be a mammoth task this year!

How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time! There's always a half hour hot spot challenge, could yours be paperwork so it's not such a hugely scary job? And a bit of uptempo or uplifting music always helps (What works for you? 3 minute songs, whether vintage soul or Green Day helps me. As long as I don't play air guitar:D)

    Morning all

Vanilla - that's such sad news.
Greenbee - hope it goes well.

I had stomach cramps when I first got up, went back to bed with my cuppa and kind of fell asleep again... Never mind, I can make up for the time.

I don't think I'll be going anywhere today, so the plan is:
    tidy and hoover LR
QHCs or HHCs in all other rooms
    play with DS2
    do some marking
    have a nice bath
    phone hospital about x-ray
sort something for tea (must decide soon so I can take it out of the freezer)

Had some bad news this morning. A former colleague, who took early retirement a couple of years ago, passed away on Christmas Eve after a heart attack. I'm going to text some other friends from school now, to let them know.

On cards and decorations, my decs will come down sometime after Friday and before Tuesday, so they're out of the way when I'm back at work. I keep cards from people close to us, too, and swap them for new ones every year. I've also got a few cards from former students.

    Have a good day, everyone.

ETA Getting ready to join you, lil_me. Still deciding where to start and I may have to find something edible for DS2 first.
  • Lil me, that list is nothing compared to my mums list :D

I need my lists as it makes it easier for me. Is it bad to admit that I have a master list of all my lists  but 2.5 months to go and it WILL all be sorted by the end of Feb. No last minute panicking in my house!
  • Hi all :)
Well my ironing has gone out of the window a bit because my washing machine broke down before Xmas and I can't wash my clothes other than hand washing as I can but I am ironing those as I go along :)
Me, hubby and DS2 have all awoken with dodgy stomachs :(
But hey ho I will soldier on :)
Going to get myself a little bit of late breakfast to see if it will help settle my stomach then will proceed to shiny sink and clearing porch so that - fingers crossed - repairman can come out and fix washing machine and will be able to get to it properly :)
I will add things as I go along today :)
Hope everyone had a lovely Xmas and in case I don't get chance Happy New Year to all :)

    Morning (just)

Another lazy start in this house. Teenie still in bed, DD still in PJ's, me just out of the bath and Dh who came in from work at 3am is up and about!

I have to get dried and dressed then think I'll have a wander to Matalan to see if I can get some new tea towels in the sale (prob not) as mine are all minging despite being put on a hot wash each time.

Will catch you all later for a cuppa maybe
